Adobe has announced a collaboration with Universal Music Group (UMG) and Warner Music Group (WMG) to bring licensed music from some of the labels’ top artists directly into Adobe Premiere for mobile devices.

By combining music from two of the world’s leading music companies with the professional-grade video editing tools of Premiere for mobile, we make it easy for you to discover the songs you love, create videos to the music, and share your stories, all in one free app.

More music for creations

With UMG and WMG music built directly into Premiere for mobile, you can create videos around the songs that inspire you, from the first cut. Whether you jump on the latest trend or create something entirely new, you’ll have more ways to bring your creative vision to life. Plus, by using familiar music as the backdrop for your videos, these collaborations open up even more opportunities for artists and songwriters to reach new audiences.

“Music has always been a powerful way for people to express themselves and connect with others. By bringing licensed music from UMG artists to Adobe Premiere for mobile, we’re giving creators new ways to build their stories around the songs they love for the first time, while helping our artists and songwriters reach new audiences,” said Bryan Stone, Senior Vice President of Business Development at Universal Music Group.

“The way people experience and interact with music goes far beyond traditional listening platforms,” said Rachel Scarpati, vice president of Digital Strategy and Business Development at WMG. “Our collaboration with Adobe Premiere for mobile integrates the WMG catalog directly into the creative process, opening up new possibilities for creative expression and a deeper connection with fans.”

Adobe Firefly for creative assets

You can also take advantage of Adobe Premiere’s powerful editing features for mobile, including professional-quality video tools, studio-quality audio tools like Enhance Audio to reduce distracting background noise, and AI features based on Adobe Firefly to generate unique creative assets.

Music from UMG and WMG is coming soon to Premiere for mobile devices, with songs licensed for personal, non-commercial use. For projects that require music licensed for commercial use, you will still be able to access Adobe Stock audio.

Together, these features put the power and precision of Adobe’s industry-leading video technology at your fingertips, making it easy to turn everyday moments into extraordinary stories.
