In an environment where cloud technology is booming and remote access to resources is crucial for the competitiveness of industrial companies, Forterro has deepened its experience in industrial ERP, putting its clients at the center of its decisions.

Forterro’s strategy is based on listening to its customers and offering an always updated, secure, scalable and reliable computing environment. By the end of 2024, the company plans to migrate about 1,400 customers to the cloud, with the goal of having a third of its customer base in the cloud by 2026.

Following this point, Abas has launched its new cloud ERP solution, after its acquisition by Forterro approximately a year ago.

Abas Cloud Suite: High Performance Platform

Abas Cloud Suite provides an interface that connects all ERP functionalities, from production management to financial accounting, project management and logistics. This work environment, accessible at all times and from anywhere, guarantees operational continuity. The scalability of the solution allows resources to be adjusted according to the needs of each company, ensuring optimal performance.

Abas Cloud Suite’s robust technology also facilitates application interoperability, enabling seamless integration into customers’ IT ecosystem. Abas’ offer is based on a “single-tenant” architecture that respects the specificities of each client while sharing resources.

David Coste, president of Western Europe at Forterro, notes that cloud adoption is on the rise, with fewer concerns about security and confidentiality. The Cloud is seen as an effective solution against cyberattacks in Europe, and companies value its advantages in sustainability, operational maintenance, flexibility and constant software updates.

AWS: Trusted Technology Partner

Forterro has chosen Amazon Web Services (AWS) to host its offering in the cloud, guaranteeing hosting in European data centers. An internal multidisciplinary team at Forterro is dedicated to the Cloud, ensuring a secure work environment and the availability of the latest ERP versions. This includes regular backups, protection against cyberattacks through data encryption and access management, and a robust recovery plan.

Raúl Sanz, IT Manager at Abas Ibérica, comments that 2024 is a key year with its first cloud ERP project hosted on AWS for Acrylicos Vallejo. The benefits of the Abas Cloud, such as mobility, security against cyberattacks, delegation of system maintenance and a contingency plan, are essential for its clients. Companies such as Saigu, Grupo Duero, Gamil, Galesa and Galvanizadora Toledo have already successfully adopted previous versions of the Abas Cloud. With the acquisition by Forterro and hosting on AWS, demand is expected to continue growing this year.

The Future of the Cloud

The transformation of industrial companies is crucial to anticipate future trends. Investments in product innovation, IoT, and production engineering have become more accessible thanks to the cloud. The Cloud also simplifies infrastructure and reduces costs. By centralizing efforts on a single platform and taking advantage of the group’s financial capacity, Abas offers one of the best TCO on the market, allowing companies to focus on their businesses and high value-added tasks with a secure, efficient and scalable solution.
