Accenture has expanded its AI Refinery platform in Europe with new capacities designed to guarantee digital sovereignty and accelerate the use of agricultural artificial intelligence in critical sectors. In collaboration with NVIDIA, the company seeks to respond to the growing normative and strategic demands on data management, especially relevant in industries such as defense, energy, telecommunications or the public sector.
“IA offers a unique opportunity for Europe to reinvent its economy, drive productivity, resilience and competitiveness,” says Mauro Macchi, CEO of Accenture for Europe, the Middle East and Africa. “The expansion of our platform allows European organizations to accelerate the deployment of AI agents, while addressing their concerns about sovereignty.”
The proposal is based on a modular architecture that allows to accommodate and operate IA solutions within the national infrastructure of each country. In this way, companies can meet local requirements on residence and data protection, without giving up the most advanced capabilities of generative and automation.
“Sovereign AI is opening extraordinary possibilities while preserving the integrity of national data, infrastructure and cultural identity throughout Europe,” says Justin Boitano, vice president of business software products in NVIDIA.
Accenture estimates that Europe could represent up to 30 % of the global market for sovereign in 2030. As part of that strategy, it works with a European public utility to implement computing capabilities with AS-A-Service sovereign GPUS, ensuring that the resources of AI do not leave their national borders.

Smart Industry and Automation
AI Refinery’s reinforcement also seeks to boost the transformation of the industrial sector, which represents about 25 % of European GDP. With this platform, Accenture and Nvidia are helping manufacturers to optimize warehouses, production lines and logistics operations through robotics, digital twins and simulation.
As part of this line, they have launched a new development kit (SDK) of physical, capable of analyzing images and video with natural language, supported by technologies such as Nvidia Metropolis. Companies such as Kion AG already explore their application to improve quality safety and control in warehouse manufacturing and automation environments.
Road to Personalized Agents
Launched in October 2024, AI Refinery already has more than 50 patent applications and a dozen technical publications. Accenture has marked as an objective to deploy 100 solutions from industrial agents before the end of the year. On that path, he has presented tools such as Agent Builderwhich allows you to develop custom agents in environments without code, or Trusted agent Huddlefocused on facilitating collaboration between distributed agents.
Availability
Available in both public and private clouds, AI Refinery is integrated with other accenture ecosystem solutions to accelerate the safe adoption of AI in all types of European organizations.
