Acer unveiled new graphics cards at CES 2024, including the Predator BiFrost AMD Radeon RX 7800 XT OC and three Nitro cards with the latest AMD Radeon RX 7800, 7700 and 7600 XT graphics processors.
Predator BiFrost AMD Radeon RX 7800 XT OC
The Predator BiFrost AMD Radeon RX 7800 XT OC is a graphics card based on the AMD RDNA 3 architecture with the latest Acer cooling system. This model is characterized by a solid cooling system, with triple Predator FrostBlade 3.0 fans, a ring design and a wave-like blade texture, ensuring optimal air circulation. The dimensions of the card are 281.9 x 117.9 x 61.4 mm, which means that together with the cooling system it takes up 3 slots in the computer, but at this length it should not cause any major problems.
The Radeon RX 7800 XT is equipped with 16 GB of GDDR6 memory with a bandwidth of 624 Gb / s, which translates into great performance. The GPU clock speed reaches 2,254 MHz in standard mode and up to 2,565 MHz in boost mode. For versatility, the card is equipped with an HDMI 2.1 port and three DisplayPort 2.1 ports, and thanks to the Predator BiFrost Utility application, gamers can monitor performance, adjust fan speeds and graphic parameters to their own preferences. The card is also factory overclocked.
Acer Nitro AMD Radeon RX 7800 XT OC / 7700 XT OC
The Acer Nitro AMD Radeon RX 7800 XT OC and Nitro AMD Radeon RX 7700 XT OC are cards from a slightly lower shelf, but still make full use of the AMD RDNA 3 architecture. Thanks to this, they provide access to ray tracing and accelerate calculations related to AI, and at the same time offer performance that allows you to play in high resolutions such as 1440p and 4K. The clock speed of the Nitro Radeon RX 7700 card reaches 2276 MHz in standard mode and as much as 2599 MHz in boost mode. The Nitro Radeon RX 7800 reaches 2254 MHz and 2565 MHz, respectively. A novelty in Acer Nitro graphics cards is the new multimedia encoding / decoding engine used, enabling high-resolution image encoding. This means users can enjoy media with excellent quality, full color spectrum and dynamic enhancements, whether they are exploring the world of games, streaming movies or creating projects.
Another important element is taking care of the temperature. The Acer Nitro AMD Radeon RX 7800 XT OC and Nitro AMD Radeon RX 7700 XT OC GPUs are equipped with dual Nitro FrostBlade fans, improving airflow and effectively removing heat from the case. The advanced cooling system has been cleverly hidden under a carefully designed case measuring 279 x 129.62 x 50.42 mm, while maintaining a 2.5-slot design, which allows gamers to maximize space without losing performance. The new graphics cards have one HDMI 2.1 port and three DisplayPort 2.1 sockets.
Acer Nitro AMD Radeon RX 7600 XT OC
The Nitro AMD Radeon RX 7600 XT OC is the weakest model in Acer’s offer, but it is still sufficient for gaming in 1080p resolution. With 16 GB of GDDR6 memory and a bandwidth of 288 Gb/s, as well as a clock speed reaching up to 2539 MHz (2810 MHz in boost mode), users are assured of smooth and dynamic gameplay. The cooling system with two Nitro FrostBlade annular fans, ensures maximum airflow and effective GPU cooling.
Despite its compact design, the Acer Nitro AMD Radeon RX 7600 XT OC graphics card (measuring 265.1 x 111.2 x 40.1 mm and a 2.5-slot housing) is an effective choice for those who value every millimeter inside the housing. With a rich set of ports, including one HDMI 2.1 and three DisplayPort 2.1, the card allows you to connect up to 4 monitors simultaneously. The prices of all the mentioned card models are not yet known.
