Óscar López, Minister for Digital Transformation and Public Function

The 32nd edition of the Aslan Congress, under the title “IA + Digital Innovation: great challenges and opportunities”, has begun in IFEMA. During its three days, from March 18 to 20, it is expected to gather more than 8,000 attendees and 150 speakers. This reference event in the technological sector will congregate the highest public administration authorities, together with directors of companies and digitalization experts, to analyze the trends and strategies that will mark the future of digital transformation in Spain.

The inauguration has been marked by the Minister’s opening speech for digital transformation and public function, Óscar López, who stressed that “Spain is the digital hub of southern Europe and an ideal country for responsible innovation.” In his speech, he has underlined the role of the Congress of Aslan in the design of digital policies to consolidate the reindustrialization of the country. In addition, the Spanish Society for Technological Transformation (SETT) has presented, a “fund of funds” with 16,000 million euros to boost investments in disruptive technologies. Among his initiatives, he mentioned the IMEC center in Malaga and strategic projects in companies such as Wooptix, Sensia and Multivrse Computing.

For his part, Alberto Pascual, president of @aslan, has underlined the importance of this Congress as a meeting space for the technological ecosystem in Spain: “Every year, the Aslan Congress is consolidated as a reference forum where strategic opportunities and alliances are generated for the impulse of digitalization. This event not only allows to analyze the tendencies and technological challenges, but also reinforces the collaboration between companies and administrations to advance together to advance together for a more competitive and safe digital future ”.

Participation of leading companies

Throughout the morning, the first day of the Aslan Congress has had the participation of leading companies in the technological sector such as Lenovo, Aws, Dell and Google Cloud, which have presented their progress in digitalization. Dell has shown how artificial intelligence in PC can improve productivity and optimize tasks. For its part, Google Cloud has highlighted the potential of its AI model to facilitate automation in the audiovisual field. In its exhibitions, it has been discussed on the key role of artificial intelligence in the work environment, as well as the latest innovations in data centers and cloud solutions.

Impact on private sector leaders

The Congress Aslan 2025 will be a key meeting point for technological transformation leaders, exploring the impact of innovation on business models. One of the key moments of the event will be the CEOS table, which will take place on March 19 at 12:30 p.m. under the title “Digitalization trends and its impact on the business models of the future”, where managers of companies such as Goiko, Ecoembes, Steelcase, Teknia and CREATE will discuss digitalization and adaptation to the market.

After the session, a private meal with managers will be held, in which César Maurín, director of Digitization and Innovation of CEOE, will intervene with an institutional discourse on the role of technology in business growth.

On March 20, at 11:30 a.m., the Ibex 35 Table 35 will take place, entitled «Technology 2030: Challenges and opportunities for the connection between technology and business in the IBEX 35», which will bring together high technological leaders of companies such as MAPFRE, Cellnex Telecom, Banco Sabadell, Enagás and Solaria.

IMPULSE TO DIGITALIZATION IN THE PUBLIC SECTOR

One of the fundamental pillars of the Aslan Congress is the role of digitalization in public administrations. During March 19 and 20, the event will host the meeting of Public Administrations, a forum dedicated to the modernization and digitalization of the public sector. The inauguration will be in charge of XXX, and the event will close with the speech of Miguel López Valverde, Minister of Digitalization of the Community of Madrid.

In this context, this same night the traditional gala dinner and delivery of the @aslan digitalization awards in public administrations will be held, which in their XVII edition will recognize the winners in 14 categories. Since its creation, these awards have had the participation of more than 220 technological partners and 150 public bodies.

The ceremony will be chaired by Ignasi Belda, general director of the Spanish Agency for Supervision of Artificial Intelligence, who, in addition to offering an inaugural speech, will deliver the first prize in the category of “artificial intelligence.”
