Huawei has celebrated, as every year, its well-known “HUAWEI CONNECT 20242 Paris”, bringing together thousands of representatives of companies from various sectors, technological experts and partners from all over the world. With the same objective: to analyze how digital and intelligent technology can accelerate the double ecological and digital transition in Europe.
In the keynote presentation, Ken Hu, rotating President of Huawei, highlighted the company’s more than 20-year collaboration with European customers and partners. He stressed that Huawei has combined its strengths in areas such as networks, cloud, storage and energy to provide continuous innovation and create greater added value for its customers. Hu reaffirmed Huawei’s commitment to Europe, expressing its desire to work more closely with its customers and partners to drive a greener and smarter future.
“Likewise, we are working to support long-term sustainability in the industry with our digital inclusion initiative, called TECH4ALL. Through our collaboration agreements with universities and NGOs across Europe, we have provided new digital skills to more than 80,000 people,” added Hu.

OceanStor Gold All-Flash Storage
At the event, the company also presented its new next-generation OceanStor Dorado All-Flash storage solution. This system is designed to improve performance and resilience, enabling mission-critical applications to enter the era of Artificial Intelligence (AI).
With the rapid integration of AI across various industries, data infrastructures must support these applications and handle the explosive growth of data, which is increasingly exposed to risks such as ransomware attacks. Therefore, building an efficient and secure data infrastructure is a key objective for the industry.
Yang Chaobin, Director of the Board and President of Huawei ICT Products and Solutions, highlighted three main features of the new OceanStor Dorado solution:
- Extreme performance: The new generation of All-Flash storage has been completely renewed in hardware and software. It uses a SmartNIC based on data processing units (DPUs) to separate data flows from control flows, addressing the processor performance bottleneck. This enables over 100 million IOPS and extremely low latency of 0.03 ms, tripling the performance of the previous generation.
- Extreme resistance: With SmartMatrix full mesh architecture, the system supports multi-layer failures across control units, storage and platforms, maintaining service even if seven of the eight control units fail, with 99.99999% reliability. Additionally, it offers ransomware protection with a 99.99% detection rate and guarantees 100% data availability after recovery.
- Designed for AI– OceanStor Dorado supports various applications such as databases, files and containers, meeting the storage needs of critical applications in the AI era. Its data management engine (DME) improves operation and maintenance (O&M) efficiency by proactively detecting exceptions.
