Lenovo has brought together its main partners, clients and media in Madrid at The Lenovo GARAGE to celebrate Tech World Iberia 2025, its major annual event in which the company analyzes the recent financial results, both globally and locally, of each and every one of the business units: Intelligent Device Group (IDG), Infrastructure Solutions Group (ISG) and Solutions and Services Group (SSG).
The results have been presented by Alberto Ruano, Executive Director & Country General Manager of Lenovo Iberia, accompanied by the management team of each of the company’s business areas. The global figures for the second fiscal quarter reflect the best billing in the company’s history for this period with a figure of 20.5 billion dollars, which represents an annual growth of 15% year-on-year, with all business units growing by double digits.
Ruano highlighted that all the geographies in which Lenovo is present, the Americas, EMEA, Africa and China have grown during this period by double digits, shattering all records in billing. The manager explained that the areas of greatest growth have been smart devices (IDG), Motorola with mobile devices and PCs, which represent 15.1 billion, with the remaining part associated with infrastructure and hybrid cloud (ISG) which also grows 24% year after year.
Alberto Ruano has highlighted the determining role played by the Services section, where they continue to grow by 18%, linked especially to PCs and infrastructures. “Nowadays, a product cannot be conceived without good service, which is why it is increasingly strategic for the company. In the PC world, services give great value to devices,” he stressed.
He also added that leadership in all product categories is not a coincidence, since it is the result of the company’s diversification strategy and the vision of the future around AI. “Investment in AI has been around for a long time, since in 2017, Lenovo invested $1 billion in R&D associated with it.”
AI as a strategic pillar of growth
As a summary, the global quarter leaves a net profit with a record figure of 512 million dollars, 25% more than the previous year, the result of innovation in AI that is consolidated as its main growth driver. Income related to artificial intelligence already represents 30% of the group’s total turnover, an advance of 13 points compared to the previous year.
The company is building “Personal AI Twin,” an AI super agent that will operate across devices, operating systems, and applications. At the enterprise level, Lenovo offers a guide to AI adoption through its “AI Readiness” methodology, which accompanies companies from discovery and consulting, to deployment and management of large-scale AI solutions.
Lenovo Iberia leadership in key segments
Andrea Monleón, general manager of Motorola Mobility, highlighted during his speech the fact that it has been growing its global market share for 9 consecutive quarters. The board has highlighted the greater relevance that the company’s high-end terminals are acquiring, and the commitment to the business segment, which continues to be important. In this B2B area, the company has grown by 35%.
For her part, Patricia Núñez Sanz, PCSD Leader at Lenovo Iberia, has highlighted the role played by her business area in Portugal, leading the market for eight consecutive quarters. In Spain, it continues to narrow its positions with the development of the Yoga brand, which experiences a growth of 273% year after year in the premium segment, and the good performance of the gaming part, which grows 23% thanks to the offer of Legion and LOQ equipment.

Cristina Martínez González, director of the Lenovo services division (SSG), has given us an interview that we will publish soon. He highlights that working with the main ISVs has allowed them to develop a set of very valid vertical solutions, with a special impact on manufacturing and the sports area. Regarding employment, at the local level it has grown for 18 consecutive quarters with a growth in billing of 22% year after year. He concludes by highlighting that “Lenovo’s TruScale infrastructure services area will experience great adoption, as everything tends to be served as a service with a flexible, scalable, secure, innovative and efficient infrastructure.”
The intervention of the management team closed, Alexandre Bento, head of ISG at Lenovo Iberia, who highlighted the double-digit growth of his area and the fact of being number one in Portugal. “We work through a network of partners to accelerate the adoption of use cases and so that companies can better exploit the data.” The manager has presented the AI Factory project financed by Private Equity, a clear example of the commitment to local, so that data can be consumed without having to go hyperscale.
Challenges and opportunities for 2026
For the next year, more moderate results are expected due to two key aspects: on the one hand, the current market situation with the shortage of DRAM and Flash memory and supply problems; and at a more local level, the absence of the effects of the Digital Kit, which once it has come to an end, will affect the area of SMEs. However, the company trusts that this gap will be filled by the business area corresponding to public administrations.
Regarding the problems in the supply chain, Ruano concluded by ensuring that “we are not in panic”, despite ensuring that the problem of memory shortages could extend up to a period of 9 months or more. The company has already demonstrated in the past, during the pandemic, its ability to react to major problems, as well as the fact that it has almost 30 factories worldwide, which allows it to guarantee greater supply. He also highlighted the new factory that Lenovo is building in Riyadh (Saudi Arabia), where 100% of the brand’s products can be manufactured.
Lenovo’s importance in the sports area is very significant. In addition to being a technological partner of Formula 1 and the Ducati Lenovo team in MotoGP, the company will be the official technological partner of the FIFA World Cup 2026 and the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2027, transferring its innovation to elite stages and sports.
