Working on a computer requires two devices to have a good day – a mouse and a keyboard. When one of them stops working properly, it is still possible to find a solution and do something about it. It’s worse when each one falls apart.
Since the morning I have been looking for a solution to the question: what did I do wrong that my mouse and keyboard stopped working? Entering appropriate phrases in Google and following users’ advice did not help at all, nor did reinstalling the program multiple times. Until it finally turned out that the answer was buried in the support.
Logitech asks for patience from Apple device users
If I were to recommend an essential PC accessory to anyone, it would definitely be the Logitech MX Master series mouse, without which I feel like I’m without a hand. This is exactly how it has been since this morning, when the gestures I’m used to (and even the speed of the scroll wheel!) stopped working completely. To top it off, the dedicated shortcuts on the Logitech POP Keys don’t work either. All this within the Apple MacOS 26 environment, on which The following applications do not currently work: Logi Option+ and Logitech G HUB.
Incorrect operation of devices can disturb the balance, but nothing is as annoying as limited communication from the manufacturer. Especially one that charges dearly for its equipment and somehow forces you to install dedicated applications that do not follow any logic (Logi Options is not the same as Logi Options+ or Logitech G Hub). Only after a long time of following the troubleshooting instructions and reinstalling the program using the installer on the Logi Options+ main page, I thought I would check if it is possible to download the latest update separately.
And instead of providing information about the problems on an earlier, dedicated page or a special page devoted to the current state of services, information about the failure is only included in Logitech support and messages began to appear on Reddit subpages. With all due respect, this is not the best method. Worse yet, the answer premium equipment manufacturer the estimated time to repair the fault is:
as soon as possible
This is in no way an acceptable answer, and it gets even worse funnier after learning the reason for all the confusion. A company worth billions of dollars, with mice and keyboards worth hundreds… Forgot to renew the recurring certificate.
Curtain.
