In line with the IONOS Group’s strategy to support digital sovereignty in Europe, Arsys will manage the Group’s platform for the new Gaia-X European Association for Data and Cloud AISBL validation node, an initiative aimed at boosting the Data Economy in Europe. the European Union.

This new GXDCH (Gaia-X Digital Clearing House) node will operate in a federated manner with other similar nodes in several European countries, promoting the decentralization and interoperability of the project. It uses a distributed cloud architecture based on Kubernetes and is hosted in data centers in Spain and Germany to guarantee maximum security and resilience.

The GXDCH network ensures that all participants in a data space share their information in a sovereign, secure and trustworthy manner, generating and verifying the digital credentials that identify them, allowing authentication in the services associated with each data space.

“Participating in this initiative by managing a cloud environment that guarantees the security and reliability of data exchange is a way of contributing to the development of the European Union with our experience in cloud infrastructure. Gaia-X is setting the pace for the future competitiveness of the European Union, promoting the development of the Data Economy in strategic sectors and highlighting our unique values in the global market,” comments Miguel Martínez Vélez, Chief Product Officer (CPO) of Arsys.

Arsys will manage a new node of the European Gaia-X initiative

Data spaces are fundamental for the development of the Data Economy. They are ecosystems where actors exchange data voluntarily and securely, following common governance, organizational, regulatory and technical mechanisms. This allows participants to take advantage of the full potential of data to generate new business opportunities, optimize resources and facilitate decision making, all in a technological environment that complies with community regulations.

In addition, Arsys participates in the working groups that develop the Gaia-X governance, interoperability and control trust framework, and in its Open Source Community, responsible for implementing and testing the software components used. Arsys is also part of the national hub of this European initiative, the Gaia-X Spain Association, contributing to the Enabling Technologies, Training and Integration group with IDSA (International Data Spaces Association), and collaborates in the sectoral working groups of Tourism, Mobility , Industry and Agri-Food.
