On Thursday, April 24, Madrid will become the epicenter of the debate on the future of the cloud in Europe with the celebration of the Cloud Summitan encounter that seeks to analyze the current challenges around digital sovereignty, cybersecurity and data management. The event, organized by Apecdata, Asotem and the Nebrija University, will take place on the University Communication and Arts Campus, in hybrid format: face -to -face and in streaming, with free free registration until capacity is completed.

One of the main attractions of the meeting will be the intervention of Max Schrems, a renowned European activist in digital privacy and a key figure in the legal battle against the transfer of personal data between the European Union and the United States. Schrems has starred in some of the most relevant litigation in this area, challenging agreements such as the Pivacy Shield, whose legality has been questioned by the EU Court of Justice.

The Cloud Summit is celebrated in a specially delicate context, marked by a growing concern for the control of personal data, the rise of cyber threats and the progress of European regulations such as the NIS2 directive, which forces to strengthen the security of critical infrastructure and digital systems.
