Zyxel Networks has announced the launch of an improved version of its USG Flex Firewalls series. This new generation of devices is mainly oriented to small and medium enterprises (SMEs), as well as suppliers of managed services (MSP), with the aim of simplifying security management and strengthening protection against cyber -cybermenazas from day one.
With a renewed architecture, the new USG Flex H models offer a unified management of threats (UTM) with a performance up to three times higher than their predecessors. This power jump responds to the growing need for more safe and flexible network infrastructure, capable of adapting to hybrid environments and the digital expansion of SMEs.

News of the new generation of USG Flex Firewalls
One of the main novelties of this version is the incorporation of the Smart Sync function, which allows fluid integration between the cloud and local infrastructure. Unlike other market hybrid firewalls, Sync Sync automatically synchronizes safety policies, configurations and network objects between the Nebula platform and the local web interface. This system not only guarantees the coherence of protection policies, but also reduces human errors and facilitates a more agile administration for networks that grow rapidly.
In addition, the USG Flex H Firewalls include standard the new Licencies Pack Pack Pack (EDP), designed to provide a complete defense since the system start -up. This solution is equipped with key tools such as the reputation filter, advanced analysis through the Secureporter platform and priority technical support. In this way, SMEs can have an updated and effective security armor without the need for complex configurations or specialized technical knowledge.
A multicapa approach driven by AI
The devices are backed by the latest hardware, capable of managing speeds ranging from 1 Gbps to 10 Gbps. This allows to absorb without difficulty the growing data traffic in business networks, guaranteeing a fluid functioning even in the face of demand peaks.

MulticaPa Protection based on artificial intelligence covers from VPN safe tunnels (IKEV2/EAP and SSL VPN), to defense systems such as sandboxing, antimalware, DNS/IP/URL filtering, intrusion prevention (IPS) and application control. This variety of tools acts in a coordinated way to detect and block advanced threats before they compromise the network.
An ally for the digital transformation of SMEs
Another prominent aspect is the improved integration with nebula to reinforce access security. The new Firewalls apply two factors authentication (2FA) in both administrative management and in accesses through the captive portal of wireless access points. In addition, they offer compatibility with Microsoft in ID (previously Azure AD), allowing solid authentication for users in hybrid business environments.

The new convergence functions between the cloud and local facilities have been available since April 2025 in the USG Flex Flex Firewalls Series H with version 19.00 of Nebula and the Firmware version UOS V1.32.
