Commvault and Kyndryl have announced a strategic alliance to offer organizations a new joint solution that reinforces their cyber resistance, accelerates recovery after incidents and ensures compliance with constant evolution regulations. This collaboration also incorporates Pureage as a key technological partner, providing an additional layer of data storage innovation.
The agreement will allow Kyndryl to expand its current portfolio of incident recovery services and backups managed, integrating Commvault technology and Pureage’s capabilities to offer a modular architecture of data protection adapted to hybrid and multinube environments.
In an environment in which ransomware and advanced persistent threats have become everyday risks, companies underline the need to change the traditional defensive approach to an active and proactive posture. “Cybernetic preparation is no longer considered an option for global organizations, but an obligation,” says Allen Downs, vice president of Kyndryl’s safety and resilience services. “Through this collaboration with Commvault and Pureage, we are even better positioned to help some of the world’s most prestigious organizations to completely redefine their data protection strategies.”

The joint solution is articulated on a four -layer architecture, designed to offer maximum protection, rapid restoration and regulatory compliance:
- Cyber Resilient Vault: immutable and isolated warehouse that guarantees the integrity of backup data against unauthorized access.
- Clean Recovery Zone: Safe environment to perform forensic analysis and validate backups before recovery.
- Production Rapid Restore: Ultra -graped restoration with Pureage Flashblade ™, backed by immutability functions such as S3 Object Lock and Safemode.
- Immutable Snapshot Recovery: It allows to restore critical loads with consistent Snapshots thanks to Commvault Intellisnap and Flasharray of Pure Storage.
Regulatory compliance under control
The collaboration also addresses the strictest regulatory demands at international level, including frames such as Dora, NIS2 and PSD2 in Europe, as well as NYDFS NYCRR 500 regulations in the US or CPS 230 in Australia. “As regulatory frameworks such as Dora establish stricter standards for operational resilience, organizations are implementing strategies that integrate regulatory compliance with the ability to quickly recover from cyber interruptions,” says Maciej Kranz, general director of Enterprise in Pure Storage.
