Netapp and Intel have joined strength to launch NetApp Aipod Mini, an infrastructure solution designed to accelerate the implementation of artificial intelligence in companies of all sizes, especially in those business units that do not have large budgets or specialized technical equipment. With this launch, both companies seek to democratize access to the generative AI applied to concrete workflows, reducing both costs and technical complexity.

Designed specifically for departmental functions, NetApp Aipod Mini offers an optimized hardware combination, safe storage and preconfigured workflows, facilitating the creation of personalized solutions based on artificial intelligence. This tool allows, for example, to automate the writing of legal documents, adjust prices dynamically or anticipate failures in production lines.

“Our mission is to unlock the AI for all teams at all levels without traditional barriers of complexity or cost,” says Dallas Olson, commercial director of NetApp. “We are turning our own business data into powerful business achievements.”

From Intel, the strategic value of this collaboration also highlights. “A good AI solution must be at the same time powerful and efficient to ensure that it offers a solid return on investment,” says Greg Ernst, corporate vice president and general director for Intel America. “By combining Intel Xeon processors with the robust data management and storage capabilities of NetApp, the NetApp solution Aipod Mini offers business units the possibility of deploying AI to deal with their specific challenges.”

A new approach: modularity, performance and security

Nephap Aipod Mini relies on a modular and flexible design that integrates processors Intel xeon 6 with Intel amx (Advanced Matrix Extensions), and in all-flash storage of Netapp, all managed with a deep integration in Kubernetes environments. This allows to display workflows of increased generation by recovery (RAG), combining generative with its own data to offer more precise and relevant analysis.

The proposal is structured on the open platform Open Platform for Enterprise ai (Opea)which guarantees compatibility, scalability and adaptability depending on the needs of each business. Thanks to this approach, NetApp Aipod Mini not only reduces operational costs, but also minimizes start -up times.

Three pillars: affordable, simple and safe

  • Affordable: The solution has been designed to adjust to departmental budgets without giving up business levels. Scalability allows you to start with a reduced investment and expand as the needs evolve.
  • Simple: With a validated reference design and workflows ready to use, AIPOD MINI speeds up deployment, reduces the learning curve and eliminates the need for specialized personnel.
  • Safe: The local management of data and integrated functionalities of cyberbrenciencia, such as version control, restricted accesses and traceability, make the system a reliable solution, even in highly regulated environments.

Availability

Netapp Aipod Mini with Intel will be available in the summer of 2025 through strategic distributors and partners around the world.
