The work of developers is changing dramatically. In a couple of years they have gone from writing every line of code to working with AI assistants and coordinating fleets of agents. But the goal remains the same: deliver finished software. A new functionality, a bug fix, a security improvement. What matters is the finished work, not more code, in an era where agents demand a different level of performance and reliability.

From GitHub Universe they share the vision of GitHub as the most complete software delivery system in the world. In this way, products continue to be presented that make that vision a reality to rebuild the underlying infrastructure. During the GitHub Universe celebration, some of these new applications could be seen.

GitHub Copilot

The GitHub Copilot app is designed from the ground up for agent-based software delivery. Connect agents and tools between projects, allowing you to direct work without having to manage each transfer. And it does more than just write code: you can write specifications, present design discussions, or analyze telemetry in an agent-centric interface.

Copilot Fusion

Each task requires a different model. Developers shouldn’t have to manage every model option to get the right result at the right price. Copilot Fusion evaluates the needs of each task for reasoning, code generation, debugging, and tool usage, and then chooses how to execute it using one or more models. In the Artificial Analysis Coding Agent Index, Fusion Max scored very close to Opus 5.5 Max, at half the cost and 40% less time per task.

Copilot Projects

The developer job should not restart when changing devices or tools. Session continuity allows you to start and continue the same cloud agent session in the GitHub app, VS Code, CLI, and the web. You can start from your phone at the beginning of the day, control it from VS Code on the desktop, and check its status from github.com during lunch. The agent continues to run in the cloud. The multimode platform that enables this is powerful, fast and profitable.

Copilot Automations

Copilot automations allow you to create AI workflows within the repository. They run in the cloud and you can start them manually or configure them to respond to an event or run on a schedule. This allows agents to be coordinated to manage tasks such as issue triage and code review. Automations can now learn from their results and propose improvements for you to review and approve. That is the engine of learning in practice. The results of completed work can be used to improve the next run.

Code review

Copilot Code Review Max allows you to review significant and actionable errors. Earned the highest F1 score in ReviewBench for high severity issues. Lite and Balanced versions allow for quick daily reviews; The new Max version offers deeper analysis when a change requires it.

Starting today, GitHub Enterprise customers can use all of Copilot’s features without requiring an additional subscription. This includes the GitHub Copilot app, code review, automations, and more. You only pay for the AI credits you use.

This feature is now available through GitHub Sales, and will soon be offered in self-service mode. Existing Copilot Business and Copilot Enterprise customers can keep their current plans or migrate whenever they want. GitHub remains an open and extensible platform.
