Globant is strengthening its commitment to Spain by opening a new innovation and artificial intelligence centre in the financial heart of Madrid. In addition, it has announced an investment of more than 250 million euros over the next five years to promote AI and digital transformation projects aimed at clients in Spain and throughout Europe.

This investment highlights Spain’s strategic role in Globant’s European expansion, a region that already represents 17% of the company’s global revenues and has shown the greatest growth in the first half of the year.

The new 4,000-square-meter space, located in the Ruiz Picasso 11 Building, owned by MERLIN Properties, will serve as a hub for innovation, AI and business. Designed to allow customers to interact with technologies such as artificial intelligence, virtual reality and augmented reality, the hub offers a practical and collaborative experience.

Martín Migoya, co-founder and CEO of Globant, said: “We were born with a clear ambition: to become the leading technology services company globally. Today we have a presence in 33 countries and have established ourselves as leaders in the reinvention of industries by leveraging the use of artificial intelligence. Madrid is a key gateway for our expansion in Europe. This investment and opening confirms our commitment to Globant’s growth in this key region.”

As with the rest of its global offices, the design of this headquarters in Madrid follows the most advanced wellness standards, promoting innovation and daily employee efficiency through the use of AI and modern elements in their work environment.

Spain, a focus of development for Globant’s business in Europe

With technology, user experience and innovation projects for leading companies in various industries, such as banking and financial services, tourism, airlines, pharma and health, and sportech, the technology company is strongly committed to local talent.

Spain has also witnessed the growth of important new business units for Globant in recent years, such as Globant GUT, the new network of technology-based creativity and marketing studios, or Sportian, which was launched as a new brand in October last year as a result of a successful partnership with LALIGA.
