Globant has presented the new version 2.3 of its platform Globant Enterprise AI (GEAI)this update takes a decisive step in the evolution of the AI agentswhich cease to be simple conversational assistants and become systems capable of make decisions, execute safe operations and act autonomously within business processes.

The presentation comes just days after OpenAI announced the new Agentic Commerce Protocol (ACP), a standard designed to enable interoperability between AI systems. Globant did not want to be left behind and has integrated this protocol into its new version of GEAI, allowing business agents to carry out transactions from start to finish, opening the door to a new stage of intelligent automation.

A leap towards transactional AI

Until now, most artificial intelligence platforms focused on improving the conversation with the user. However, the GEAI 2.3 version goes further, Globant’s AI agents will be able to manage purchases, payments or internal approvals, all within a security and regulatory compliance environment.

The company assures that this update will reduce operating costs and accelerate the modernization of legacy systems, two of the main challenges for large corporations. Furthermore, the inclusion of the ACP protocol makes GEAI an interoperable platform, capable of communicating with other AI systems and agents without depending on a single provider.

“We want AI to act, not just talk”

During the presentation, Martín Migoya, co-founder and CEO of Globant, highlighted the vision that guides this new version, “At Globant we believe that the future of companies involves building living ecosystems, where AI is fluidly integrated into each interaction. With GEAI 2.3 we take an important leap by incorporating transactional capabilities in the agents.”

For his part, Gastón Milano, CTO of Globant Enterprise AI, added that the company wants to “bring business AI closer to real action. Our clients will be able to explore agents capable of executing transactions securely and at scale. This shows that GEAI not only powers conversations, but also enables real business operations.”

Progressive deployment and AI agents

Globant has confirmed that the launch of GEAI 2.3 will be carried out gradually, with initial access by invitation. The goal, according to the company, is to evaluate customer response and adjust the capabilities of AI agents in real environments before its global opening.

The results obtained in previous versions of the platform support its commitment: the company assures that its users have already managed to reduce system modernization times by 80% and operating costs by up to 50% thanks to the implementation of GEAI.

With a presence in more than 35 countries and clients such as Google, Santander and EA, Globant relies on strategic alliances with OpenAI, AWS, NVIDIA and Unity to maintain its pace of innovation.
