The premiere of the Nintendo Switch 2 console is fast approaching. Currently, there are already millions of first generation devices on the market, which many users have already ordered the latest equipment of the giant from Kyoto. Many of them will probably decide to send the existing devices to the (very well -deserved) pension. Therefore, there are a number of questions: how to safely and easily transfer data? Fortunately, in this generation it is easier than ever in the Nintendo universe!
Transfer of data from Nintendo Switch to Nintendo Switch 2: How to do it safely?
Together with the latest Nintendo Switch update, in addition to new functions, we also have the opportunity to send system data to Nintendo servers. All this with the transfer of the content of our device to the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 console. If you managed to order a new console and you are planning a change soon, then you can now make a copy of the console content that will be stored on the dedicated manufacturer’s server. It is worth remembering, however, that it will not be there forever: the maximum data storage time is 12 months.
How to make a copy of data from Nintendo Switch? It’s easy! Enough:
- Open the console system settings;
- Go to the System tab;
- Select the “Transfer System to Nintendo Switch 2” option;
- If you decide to make a copy before buying Switch 2, select “I don’t have Nintendo Switch 2 yet” (I don’t have a nintendo switch 2 Yet “);
- Ready!
What data will be preserved in this way on Nintendo servers to move them to a new console?
Among them will be:
- Games and DLC;
- User profiles;
- Game record data;
- Screenshots we made and saved video clips;
- System settings.
It is worth remembering, however, that data from the “News” section, Bluetooth settings, language, region and time zone will not be saved. However, this is a relatively small problem, because their re -configuration will not take us more than a few minutes.
Preparations for the great premiere are underway. Nintendo has made it easier this time
In previous generations of their consoles, Nintendo was quite … restrained in terms of serving us any contemporary functions and facilitations in terms of data transfer and similar. This time, however, not only everything has been significantly facilitated, but also these options have been made available to us many weeks before the premiere of the equipment, which is quite surprising. But you can’t hide that this approach pleases. Not only in terms of trouble -free and secure data migration, but also due to the fact that the holders of the 1st generation of Nintendo Switch can already make a backup and sell the device in anticipation of the new generation. The wolf is full and sheep.
