In a context where the demand for digital labels not only grows, but becomes more complex and fragmented, HP takes a new step forward with the launch of its digital press HP Indigo 6K+. The new solution represents the evolution of the renowned HP Indigo 6K, a model with more than 2,300 units installed worldwide. This new version promises more productivity, less stops and greater precision thanks to a combination of artificial intelligence, advanced automation and industrial scalability.

With the focus on reducing marketing times and adapting to the production of multiple sku, HP reinforces its proposal for a market where operational agility is no longer an added value, but a need.

One of the main advances of Indigo 6K+ is the incorporation of the new smartControlSystem, an intelligent management platform that optimizes the diagnosis of failures, reduces waste and maximizes the press activity time. This system is integrated with other tools such as HP Printos, HP Spot Master or Automatic Alert Agent 2.0, creating a more intuitive and automated work environment.

“As we advance in the vision of a truly uninterrupted digital impression, we are proud to present the HP Indigo 6K+ with its revolutionary smartcontrolsystem,” said Noam Zilbershtain, vice president and general manager of HP Indigo. “Thanks to its intelligent, integrated automation and advanced diagnoses, it opens the door to endless growth opportunities.”

Beta clients: more jobs per shift, less waste

The first users who have tried Indigo 6K+ ensure that the quality and productivity jump is significant. In environments where qualified human resources are scarce or incorporation processes are long, automation becomes special importance.

“We have managed to increase our productivity with up to 15% more operating time,” explains Jordan Fischer, plant director at Summit Labels. “We are convinced that this digital solution meets market expectations and significantly improves our efficiency.”

For its part, Geostick, another beta customer, highlights the improvement in image stability and problem solving such as key factors to reduce times of inactivity.

Beyond the label: complex and sustainable applications

The indigo HP 6K+ not only improvement in performance. It also expands its range of applications, allowing work with self -adhesive labels, Sleeves, IML, flexible packaging or laminated tubes. In addition, its chromatic range covers up to 97% of the visible spectrum and includes special inks such as Silver Electroink, invisible or decoloration resistant inks.

Sustainability is also part of the DNA of this new generation. HP says that the press can reduce CO₂ emissions for work by up to 20%, while admitting recycled supports and renewable materials.

Labelexpo 2025: The showcase for the new indigo

The Europe 2025 Labelexpo, which this year will be held in Barcelona, will be the stage for the larger of the HP Indigo 6K+. In stands #E25 and #D21 of Pavilion 5, HP will show how its digital printing ecosystem, which also includes Indigo V12, is promoting a new era for the production of sustainable labels and packaging.
