Hannover Messe, one of the most prominent industrial events globally, has announced that the 2025 edition will focus on IT/OT security solutions. In a context where the digitalization and interconnection of industrial systems are increasingly prevalent, the security of Information Technology (IT) and Operational Technologies (OT) has become a critical priority for companies.

Among the outstanding solutions that will be presented at the Fair, on March 31 and April 4 in the German town of Hannover, are the technologies for detection and response to threats, identities and access management systems, and security platforms based on AI. These innovations are designed to protect critical infrastructure and minimize the risk of cyber attacks.

IT/OT security

One of the key focus areas will be the implementation of threat detection and response systems (TDR). These technologies allow companies to identify and mitigate threats in real time, providing an additional layer of protection against sophisticated attacks. In addition, identities and access management solutions (IAM) will be presented that guarantee that only authorized users can access critical systems.

Artificial intelligence (AI) will also play a crucial role in IT/OT security. Safety platforms based on AI can analyze large volumes of data to detect anomalous patterns and predict possible threats before they materialize. And, not only do they improve incident response capacity, but also help companies optimize their cybersecurity strategies.

“Cybersecurity is essential for companies,” says Marcel van Asperdt, director of Information Security of Eye Security, who will speak on the stage of the Security Circus industrial of the Hanover Messe 2025 about the growing threats, aggravated by the scarcity of talent and the pressure of the costs. “Continuous security monitoring combined with cybersagide coverage offers the best protection,” adds Van Asperdt.

Success cases and demonstrations in Hannover Messe 2025

The fair will offer a platform for companies to present success and make live demonstrations of their IT/OT security solutions. Attendees will have the opportunity to see firsthand how these technologies can be integrated into their operations and improve their security position.

Among the exhibitors are sector leaders such as Siemens, Bosch and Schneider Electric. These companies will highlight how their solutions have helped protect critical infrastructures and to guarantee the continuity of the business in an increasingly digitized environment.

The importance of collaboration

The collaboration between companies, governments and cybersecurity organizations will be one of the central themes. The fair will promote the exchange of knowledge and best practices to face cyber threats effectively. “Cybersecurity is a global challenge that requires a coordinated response,” says Fair spokesman. “Hannover Messe is the place where the industry joins to address these challenges and build a safer future.”

Van Asperdt also highlights the urgency of complying with the NIS-2 and predicts that compliance with this new cybersecurity law will be a challenge, regardless of the current state of Germany implementation. «The NIS-2 will significantly harden the cybersecurity requirements, even for companies that are not directly affected. Companies that act now will strengthen their resilience, protect supply chains and avoid last -minute expensive updates. Waiting is not an option: the attackers do not meet the deadlines ».
