Kyndryl continues to demonstrate its commitment to innovation and technological modernization, offering advanced solutions that allow companies to face the challenges of the digital environment. With strategic agreements like the one with Orange and a focus on continuous improvement, the company positions itself as a leader in the technology services sector, helping its clients successfully navigate a constantly evolving landscape.
This was highlighted by David Soto, president of Kyndryl Spain and Portugal, at a press conference. Where he has also shared news about the company and its evolution in the technological services sector. Soto highlighted that clients are satisfied with the transformation of Kyndryl into an exclusively services company, “without our own hardware or software, this has allowed us to collaborate with various companies and achieve a volume of signatures.”
Strategic Agreement with MasOrange
One of the most notable announcements was the agreement with MasOrange, which trusts Kyndryl to modernize its platform for the new generation of applications and services. This agreement will allow MasOrange to leverage Kyndryl’s advanced capabilities to improve the efficiency and safety of its operations.
Innovation and Added Value
Soto stressed that Kyndryl’s independence has allowed the company to extract the best of its talent, focusing on tasks with greater added value. “We operate systems more safely and have our team perform higher-value tasks,” he said. In addition, he highlighted the use of artificial intelligence (AI) to manage information and obtain proactive insights that allow us to propose technological improvements and better protect clients from attacks and security breaches.
Challenges and Values of Technological Modernization
José Fernández Valor, Director of Kyndryl Consult Partner, presented the six fundamental values that guide technological modernization in the company:
- Risk Preparation: Managers do not feel prepared for risk, facing various disruptions and the accelerated pace of change.
- Paradox of Technological Readiness: Although leaders are confident in their technology, they are concerned about their readiness and end-of-life technology is an imminent challenge.
Kyndryl continues to demonstrate its commitment to innovation and technological modernization, offering advanced solutions that allow companies to face the challenges of the digital environment.
- IT as a Line of Defense: IT is the best defense to mitigate risk, but most are in the early stages of their modernization journey.
- Complexity and Prioritization Paralysis: Keeping technology modernized is hampered by complexity and difficulty prioritizing.
- Return on Investment in AI: Despite significant investments in AI, leaders struggle to see a positive return.
- Business-Technology Alignment: Technology modernization leaders report better alignment between business and technology, higher ROI, and greater readiness for the future.
Key Areas of Support for Modernization
Fernández Valor also highlighted the main areas where support is needed for modernization efforts:
- 63% Support in Leadership Decision Making: Improve collaboration between IT and other departments and ensure alignment of modernization efforts with business objectives.
- 57% Talent Management: Acquisition and retention of talent in IT-related roles, and improving the adoption and training of new technologies.
- 43% Integration of New Technologies: Integrate new technologies into existing infrastructure and address limitations of legacy systems.
2024 Readiness Report
Miguel Tablado presented the “Readiness Report 2024,” which reveals that, despite significant investments in AI to drive modernization, leaders do not see an expected return on investment. The report suggests the need to industrialize and introduce generative AI, as well as new data platforms and advanced analytics in a service and pay-per-use mode. Furthermore, the European Parliament’s new regulatory framework, applicable in 2026, will require monitoring, lineage and traceability.
