The calendar runs and with it the deadline to access one of the most ambitious digitalization programs in Spain. On October 31, the window is closed so that companies of up to 50 employees request the digital kit bonus, while those of less than three workers are in the final budget allocation stretch. This is the last opportunity for thousands of small businesses to benefit from aid that, in just three years, have channeled more than 3,000 million euros from European funds Next Generation EU.
Since its implementation within the framework of the SME Digitalization Plan 2021-2025, the digital kit has been key for more than 750,000 SMEs, microenterprises and freelancers to access technological solutions that previously seemed unattainable. However, reality shows that there is still a long way to go: only 11% of the potential beneficiaries have requested the bonus, in front of a universe of almost 2.9 million small and medium enterprises and 3.4 million freelancers in Spain.
Digital Kit: Choose the appropriate software
Once the bonus is approved, the true crossroads begins for business: decide what technological solutions implant. In many cases, digitalization faces the challenge of living with inherited tools that limit the integration of new applications. Interoperability becomes, then, the great differential value.
It is here where specialized suppliers play a determining role. Zoho has burst strongly thanks to an offer of more than 55 applications that cover from marketing and sales to human resources or finance. What makes the difference is its ability to work unified and, at the same time, integrate with third -party solutions that the company already has in use.
Since its implementation in the framework of the SME Digitalization Plan 2021-2025, the digital kit has been key so that more than 750,000 SMEs, microenterprises and freelancers access technological solutions that previously seemed unattainable
In the words of Sridhar Iyangar, general director of Zoho in Europe, “it is important that Spanish companies understand that digitalization is a journey and not just a series of milestones to be covered. Therefore, it is vital that the company appropriately assesses what tools and solutions will really need to grow and optimize their work, if you will need training to use them properly, etc.”
What solutions demand more SMEs
Among the most requested applications within the framework of the digital kit, tools that respond to immediate management and visibility needs are. Zoho CRM, for example, allows to centralize the relationship with current and potential customers. Zoho Analytics facilitates financial and human resources reports, while Zoho Social has become an essential ally to monitor social networks in a context in which online reputation is decisive.
The financial part finds in Zoho Books a comprehensive accounting and billing manager, while Zoho Cliq and Zoho Projects underpin the collaboration between distributed or hybrid equipment, a work dynamic that has been consolidated after the pandemic.
Artificial intelligence comes into play
The great novelty in this scenario is the incorporation of artificial intelligence through Zia LLM, the language model developed by Zoho. The company has also launched more than 25 intelligent agents, an agents without code and an MCP protocol server, all oriented to optimize business workflow.
These innovations allow Zoho’s solutions not only to automate processes, but also provide advanced context and capacity. The AI is not limited to “doing faster” what a person did before, but adds a level of interpretation that facilitates more successful and agile decisions. In this sense, the digital kit opens the door for many SMEs to access these capabilities without an initial high disbursement.
The value of partners in the implementation of the digital kit
Technology alone does not guarantee results. The experience of the partners is key in the accompaniment of companies throughout the digital adoption cycle: from the selection of tools to their personalization and integration. They also provide continuous support and training, preventing SMEs from falling into the trap of having powerful but underlying software.
Sridhar Iyengar summarizes it as follows: “counting on this journey with partners such as Zoho, which are present throughout the way, including new functionalities as they are available, allows collaborating in the optimization of the workflow, providing agility, rapid responses and safety in their operations.”
