Lenovo has held its traditional Christmas event, Lenovo Tech World Iberia 2024, in Madrid, bringing together partners, customers and the media. This annual meeting aims to reflect on the present and future of Lenovo products and services, while reinforcing the company’s commitment to its partners and customers.
The event was attended by prominent company executives, including Alberto Ruano, general director of Lenovo Iberia; Lara Rodini, director of Global Sponsorships; Alexandre Bento, general director of ISG Iberia; Patricia Nuñez, director of Product Management and Operations at Iberia; Andrea Monleón, general director of MBG Iberia; and Cristina Martinez, SSG Iberia market leader.
During the presentations, the importance of the Solutions and Services Group (SSG) and Infrastructure Solutions Group (ISG) divisions as growth drivers for Lenovo was highlighted. Alberto Ruano highlighted the advances in the production line and the company’s ability to supply all global markets, thanks to its extensive network of production centers in Europe, America and Asia.
“In the case of Lenovo, we are always looking for partners that allow us to show the value of digital transformation and the importance of technology. The most notable case is related to the world of sports: Ducati. Since 2018, both Lenovo and the Ducati Moto GP team have mutually benefited from a collaboration that has seen Ducati break all records for victories in a season and win three consecutive world championships, guided by passion, skill, knowledge and, above all, innovation,” stressed Lara Rodini, Director of Sponsorships at Lenovo Global.
Financial Results and AI Strategy
Lenovo recalled its impressive figures from the last quarter, with total revenues of $17.9 billion and net profits of $404 million. In the local market, Lenovo has established itself as the leader in computer sales, both in the consumer and professional segments, with a market share of 28.6%.
Lenovo’s hybrid artificial intelligence (AI) strategy has shown positive results, driven by recent launches powered by Lenovo AI Now. The company is leveraging its hybrid infrastructure and Lenovo Hybrid AI Advantage portfolio to capture growth opportunities. Investment in research and development (R&D) has increased 10% year-on-year, reaching $548 million, which has strengthened its position in the market.
Growth in Various Sectors
Alberto Ruano highlighted that, although the non-PC world represents 45.6% of Lenovo’s turnover in 2024, the PC segment continues to grow. Lenovo has seen significant growth in infrastructure (20%) and with Motorola (10x year-on-year). The company has maintained its global leadership in the PC market, with a market share close to 24%, widening the gap with its closest competitor.

The smartphone and tablet businesses have also recorded double-digit year-on-year growth in revenue, at 43% and 19% respectively. This success is due to the commitment to innovation, with devices such as the Yoga Slim 7, ThinkPad T14s and the Legion Go portable console.
Booming Solutions and Services
Lenovo has reached a new quarterly high in service-focused solutions revenue, increasing 65% year-over-year, reaching $3.3 billion. Strong cloud momentum and the recovery of enterprise business have been key factors in this growth. Combined storage, software and services revenue has also hit an all-time high, up 35%.
Motorola: Consolidation in Iberia
Motorola has had a year of consolidation in the Spanish market, tripling its market share thanks to the range of premium Edge products and the Razr family. Motorola’s growth has been based on three pillars: key launches of the edge 50 and razr 50 families, expansion of its presence in Spanish retailers and collaboration with local operators. In addition, Motorola has opened the Portuguese market, strengthening its position in the Iberia region and contributing to Lenovo’s leadership in EMEA.
Innovation and Personalization
Motorola has continued to lead technological innovation with devices that stand out in design and durability, thanks to collaborations with Pantone and Corning Gorilla Glass. The brand has also introduced advances in the personalization of the user experience with Moto AI, its artificial intelligence system that redefines the use of smartphones.
Lenovo 360: Channel Strategy
During the event, the Lenovo 360 strategy was presented, an initiative that seeks to strengthen collaboration between distribution channel partners and Lenovo salespeople. This strategy offers three main benefits: combining resources across the entire organization, providing agility and tools to respond to customers, and contributing to growth programs in the ISG division.
Ambitious Goals at ISG
Alexandre Bento, general director of ISG Iberia, presented the priorities and vision for the ISG division. The objectives include enabling the AI strategy in companies through the hybrid cloud, leading the supercomputing market, enhancing edge computing and expanding the partner ecosystem. The hybrid cloud will be enhanced through strategic alliances and platforms such as ThinkAgile HIC, which promise a 418% ROI and 85% faster implementation. In the field of edge computing, Lenovo offers the broadest portfolio in the industry with solutions from the ThinkEdge range.
