MacBook Air after premieres – What does the offer look like and which models are the most profitable?
MacBook Air has been enjoying unflagging popularity for years among users who value mobility, efficiency and elegant design. The latest premieres have enriched this line with models with the M3 processor, offering even better performance. Let’s take a look at the current MacBook Air offer, compare the available models and consider which of them are the most profitable.
MacBook Air has been considered one of the most popular laptops on the market for years – light, stylish, and at the same time offering solid parameters. The latest models with the M3 processor bring even greater levels of performance, but how do they compare to the versions with the M1 and M2?
MacBook Air with M3 – what’s new?
The new M3 processor brings significant increases in performance and energy efficiency. With an eight-core CPU and a choice of eight or ten GPU cores, the M3 ensures smooth operation even in the most demanding applications. New technologies such as Dynamic Caching speed up graphics processes, and support for hardware ray tracing enables realistic light reproduction in games and professional applications.
Design and functionality
MacBook Air underwent a significant redesign in 2022, adopting the flat case style of the MacBook Pro series, which is distinguished by a uniform thickness throughout. This new, more minimalist look is still present on the 2024 models, with no planned changes on the horizon. The latest models are available in two sizes: a compact 13.6-inch and a larger 15.3-inch. Both versions feature an elegant, slim design that emphasizes the lightness of the structure, ideal for everyday use and travel.
The smaller model weighs 1.24 kg and is 11.3 mm thick, making it extremely portable, while the 15-inch version, although slightly larger and heavier (1.5 kg), offers a larger screen, increasing work comfort. The housing has two Thunderbolt/USB-C ports, a MagSafe connector and a classic 3.5 mm headphone jack.
Liquid Retina display
MacBook Air features a Liquid Retina screen with a resolution of 2560 x 1664 pixels for the 13.6-inch version and 2880 x 1864 pixels for the larger model. Both screens offer brightness up to 500 nits, support for the P3 palette and True Tone, which guarantees vivid colors and excellent image quality, ideal for both work and entertainment. True Tone technology automatically adjusts colors to the surroundings, reducing eye strain and offering a more natural viewing experience.
Magic Keyboard and Force Touch trackpad
The latest MacBook Airs are equipped with a Magic Keyboard with a scissor mechanism that provides 1 mm of key travel. This is a good solution for people who value comfort and precision of writing. Backlit keys automatically adjust to lighting conditions.
Below the keyboard there is a large Force Touch trackpad that uses pressure sensors and the Taptic Engine system instead of traditional buttons. It allows you to vary the pressure force – from a light click to a deeper “force click”, which allows you to use additional gestures, such as quick access to word definitions or system functions.
MacBook Air 13″ vs. MacBook Air 15” – which model to choose?
The 13-inch model is more compact and perfect for working on the go, while the 15-inch offers a larger workspace, making multitasking easier. If you often work on the move, the 13-inch model will be more handy. However, if you value a larger screen for stationary work, it is worth considering the 15-inch variant. A larger screen comes with a higher price. The choice should depend on your needs and budget.
MacBook Air M1 – is it worth buying an older model?
The MacBook Air with M1 continues to offer solid performance for everyday tasks such as browsing the web, working with documents, and watching movies. Its price is more attractive compared to newer models.
If you do not need the latest technologies and your tasks do not require the highest computing power, the model with M1 will be a good choice.
Which MacBook Air model is the most profitable?
Models with the M1 processor are currently the cheapest, offering excellent value for money. The M2 and M3 models are more expensive, but as you might guess, they offer better performance.
The current prices of MacBook Air on the Polish market are as follows:
- MacBook Air with M1 – price starts from PLN 3,399.
- MacBook Air with M2 – price starts from PLN 4,999
- MacBook Air with M3 – the cheapest model costs from PLN 5,999
When is it worth spending more on a newer MacBook Air model?
If your work requires the highest performance or you want to use the latest technologies, investing in a model with M3 will be justified. Otherwise, a model with M1 or M2 will be more profitable.
MacBook Air offers a wide range of models to suit different needs and budgets. The latest models with the M3 processor bring significant improvements, but the older versions with the M1 and M2 still appeal to many users. The choice of the appropriate model should depend on individual needs, the type of tasks performed and the available budget.
