IFEMA MADRID has taken a significant step in its innovation strategy by incorporating robots for the marking of spaces and stands in the initial phase of its fairs production. This new technology replaces the traditional manual process with an automated system, optimizing times and resources and improving the operational efficiency of the institution.
The new system includes three robots capable of performing up to 100 brands per hour, which represents a notable advance in terms of productivity. This automation allows to redirect more than 3,300 hours of work annual to other high -value activities for customers, thus optimizing the efforts of the event production team. The implementation of this system has required an investment of 372,000 euros, which also includes the training of personnel in the use and maintenance of robots.
This project is part of the commitment of the fairgrounds for digital transformation and modernization of fair production. In recent years, the institution has developed other pioneering technological projects that reinforce their leadership in the sector, such as Visual Space and interactive virtual plans.
Innovation and digitalization in marking robots
The impulse of innovation in IFEMA Madrid has led to the implementation of Visual Space, a platform that creates a digital twin of the physical fair. This solution allows to simulate the production of events in detail, integrating tools to control all aspects of a face -to -face or hybrid fair online. Visual Space covers from space management and presale operations to the commercialization, construction, celebration and disassembly of the event.

In addition, it has developed interactive virtual plans, a digital service that provides visitors and exhibitors with a detailed vision of the fair in real time. Thanks to this tool, attendees can access graphic and business information about each exhibitor, know their exact location in the pavilion and plan optimized routes to improve their experience and time management during the fair.
A reference in the transformation of the fair sector
With the integration of these technological advances, IFEMA Madrid reinforces its position as a reference in the modernization of the fair sector, betting on digital and automated solutions that optimize the experience of exhibitors and visitors, in addition to improving the operational efficiency in the production of events.
The incorporation of marking robots is a new milestone in this evolution, demonstrating the commitment of the fairgrounds with excellence and innovation in the organization of events. With initiatives such as these, the institution continues to lead the transformation of the sector, ensuring more efficient, sustainable and adapted processes to new market needs.
