Meta Quest 3S and Meta Orion. This is what the future of AR/VR looks like

Today, Meta has unveiled yet another device that will surely appeal to fans of minimalist AR devices: the Meta Orion, formerly known as Project Nazare. These glasses are the result of hard work and constant innovation in virtually every area of modern computing—building on the work that Meta experts have been doing at Reality Labs for the past decade. The Orion glasses feature entirely new technologies, including the most advanced AR display ever used in such a device and a custom-built chip that lets you run powerful AR experiences on a pair of glasses using a fraction of the power and weight of an MR headset.

The glasses control system seamlessly combines voice, gaze and hand tracking with an EMG headband that lets you swipe, click and scroll while keeping your hand comfortably at your side, allowing you to stay present in the world and with the people around you as you interact with rich digital content. Additionally, the Orion glasses come with a so-called Wireless Compute Puck, which takes over some of the tasks performed by the glasses themselves, which saves energy and extends battery life. And although the glasses are currently just a prototype, Meta believes that the community will like them enough that they will soon go on sale and settle on our noses permanently.
