Projects IFG begins a new stage after the entry into its shareholding of the Italian DBA Group, which has acquired 60% of the company for a total amount of five million euros. The operation represents a strategic boost that will allow the Spanish firm to tackle larger projects, accelerate its international growth and expand its portfolio of services beyond the field of data centers, making it extensible to digital and energy infrastructures, and sustainable solutions for critical environments.
During the presentation press conference, Raffaele De Bettin, CEO of DBA Group, highlighted the strength and track record of the Italian group, specialized in the design of future infrastructures. “DBA Group has more than 35 years of experience, a turnover of around 127 million euros in services and products, and a team of more than 1,100 qualified professionals, currently operating in nine countries,” he stressed.
De Bettin explained that the group offers comprehensive services ranging from infrastructure design, construction supervision and safety management, to start-up and commissioning, as well as digital engineering solutions supported by professional platforms. “We work in sectors such as logistics, pharmaceuticals, telecommunications and transportation, with a strong specialization in mission-critical infrastructure and data centers,” he added.
DBA Group offers solutions to more than 500 clients from various sectors such as industrial solutions, including production factories, financial entities, insurance companies and technology companies. The company offers a wide range of consulting, design, project management services and develops software solutions for the management of mission critical infrastructures.
Design and construction management
For his part, Alberto Fernández Guerra, co-founder and CEO of Proyectos IFG, highlighted the trajectory of the company, founded in 1995, and its high degree of specialization. “IFG Projects has always been very focused on critical infrastructures, with a natural evolution towards data centers, where we offer complete engineering services, from architectural design to construction management, licenses and security certifications,” he explained.
Projects IFG, which celebrates its 30th anniversary this year, has been a key player in the critical infrastructure sector, with a particular focus on data centres. Throughout its history, the company has demonstrated its ability to manage complex projects, standing out in the design, engineering and life cycle management of high-demand technological infrastructures.
Fernández Guerra highlighted that the agreement with DBA Group will allow IFG to make a qualitative leap. “The commitment acquired after the entry of DBA allows us to undertake larger-scale projects, strengthen our international presence—including Latin America—and expand services beyond the data center,” he stated. In this sense, he recalled that the company has extensive experience in Tier III and Tier IV certifications, working with numerous top-level clients.
New Commissioning division
Looking to the future, Proyectos IFG will focus its strategy on digitalization and advanced design, growth in the data center and hyperscaler sector, and the development of its new Commissioning Division, with international reach. “This division allows us to carry out the comprehensive commissioning of buildings, relying on great internal talent and professionals with very diverse skills,” said the manager.
Another pillar will be technological innovation and sustainability. The company is working on new, more efficient air conditioning systems, in addition to investing in continuous training and professional support for its teams. “We always approach projects with a vision aimed at a sustainable future, regardless of their size, from technical rooms with few servers to high-capacity CPDs,” said Fernández Guerra.

The alliance with DBA Group also reinforces a historical relationship with large clients. Since 1995, Proyectos IFG has developed numerous projects for Telefónica, concentrating more than 66% of the company’s actions within the infrastructure area.
Future prospects
Regarding the economic outlook, IFG closed the last financial year with a turnover of 5 million euros, with a forecast of reaching 7.2 million in 2026, supported by the “exponential” growth expected from the digital market and data centers. With both a national and international presence—in Morocco, Egypt, Latam (Central and South America) and Italy—IFG has established itself as a benchmark in the critical infrastructure engineering sector, standing out for its ability to offer innovative and high-value solutions in each of its projects.
With this operation, Proyectos IFG and DBA Group consolidate a strategic alliance aimed at leading the design and development of critical and digital infrastructures in a context of strong technological expansion.
