Red Eléctrica, the operator of the high voltage transmission system in Spain, has chosen, after a competitive process, the 3DEXPERIENCE platform in the Dassault Systèmes cloud to manage the processes related to the technical information of the assets of the Spanish electricity network.

The “Integrated Built Environment” industrial solution, based on Dassault Systèmes’ 3DEXPERIENCE platform, will connect more than 1,500 collaborators through a virtual twin that facilitates the visualization of the ecosystem of electrical assets at different scales.

From the transmission lines that cross the entire territory to the details of the equipment installed in substations, this multi-scale capacity will allow Red Eléctrica to improve collaboration and establish operating standards with its internal and external partners. Additionally, it will provide real-time, on-demand access to relevant and up-to-date data, geographically contextualized for each asset.
This single source of data will transform the way in which Red Eléctrica designs and manages assets throughout their life cycle. For example, it will improve the quality of designs and optimize the management of both new projects (greenfield) and renewal of existing infrastructure (brownfield) applied to transmission lines and substations.
