Ricoh will close his fiscal year 2024 with data that highlight their growth in Spain and Portugal. With more than 2,200 employees distributed in 17 venues, the company plans to invoice around 380m of euros, an increase of 4.4% compared to the previous fiscal year.

Ramón Martín, general director since 2012, has highlighted at a press conference the evolution of the company since its incorporation in 1999, underlining growth in employees and offices, as well as the creation of service platforms in Spain for Europe. “The new headquarters that we inaugurate today in Madrid has been designed around this concept, how workers can create and contribute success in these new spaces,” says Martín.

Since 2019, Ricoh has made several strategic acquisitions to expand its presence in the market and strengthen its capacity in automation of hybrid processes and infrastructure. In 2021, the company acquired another company in Portugal, complementing its presence in Lisbon and expanding its reach in the Portuguese market.

“All this gives us a force in the automation of the process. I believe that today for all the migration we are having of processes, it requires a lot of data, it requires data extraction, it requires good management of all the information in the company, whether physical or digital, ”explains Martín.

Ricoh’s main technological areas have been key to this positive performance. Digital Workplace, which includes its printing business and solutions for the job; Process Automation, which covers document management, modernization of applications and digital experience; and Cloud & Cyber, which encompasses the modernization of datacenter, cloud and cybersecurity.

Office services and sustained growth In Ricoh

The concept of Office Service, introduced in 2015, has grown significantly, now representing 52% of the business, compared to 9% in 2012. This growth reflects the company’s capacity to adapt to the changing needs of the market and offer innovative solutions that improve the efficiency and productivity of its customers.

The evolution of the company has also been promoted by the creation of service platforms from Spain for the rest of Europe. These shared service centers have allowed centralizing operations and offering administrative support worldwide. The inauguration of the Hyper Automation Factory in Madrid, which serves globally, is an example of how the company has taken advantage of its experience and resources to lead in the field of automation and digitalization.

Office design and digital talent attraction

Javier Bernandez, a new director of Ricoh in Madrid, points out that the office has been designed with an approach to the collaboration and attraction of digital talent. Multifunctional and technological spaces have been created to improve the experience of the employee and the client. “This session here today in this space is what we consider the” Ricoh Way Square, “which is like the geographical square of the office center that represents all this,” says Bernandez.

The office project has integrated sustainable practices, reusing materials and donating social inclusion projects. Recycling and reuse of resources have been prioritized. In addition, technology has been implemented to control the flow of people in the office through the Ecospace application, optimizing the use of spaces and improving efficiency.
