In line with this, HubSpot’s 2024 Sustainability Report highlights progress in its social commitments for the next 30 years.
Ethical innovation is an essential component of the company’s strategy. That’s why, in the era of artificial intelligence, the company has developed software that uses generative AI to improve areas such as marketing, sales and customer service.
To ensure transparency and data protection, HubSpot has created a privacy center and has adhered to the European Union code of conduct for cloud services, ensuring compliance with the GDPR. In addition, the company has trained more than 1,000 marketing professionals in the ethical use of AI through its AI for Marketing course at HubSpot Academy.
Ethical AI and sustainability
HubSpot also demonstrates its commitment to sustainability through its goal of achieving greenhouse gas emissions neutrality across its entire value chain by 2040. This ambitious plan has been validated by the Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi).
Since 2019, it has achieved a 47% reduction in its Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions, and has set guidelines to reduce Scope 3 emissions by 55% by 2030. In addition, the company has encouraged its suppliers to set their own sustainability goals, with the goal of having 70% of them do so by 2027.
Focus on talent
Employee well-being and development is another priority for HubSpot. In 2023, the company maintained gender parity at the leadership and management levels and promoted diversity and inclusion with a diverse and representative workforce. HubSpot has also increased hiring of people from the LGBTIQ+ community, who now represent 15% of its workforce.
