Rarely a working day serves so much. In the first Hackathon organized by Abas Iberian, consultants, developers and industrial clients faced face to face with an ambitious challenge: create ia solutions applied to the industrial ERP … in record time. Mixed teams, formed by companies such as Burdinola, Chemik, Movitec and Orbis, worked for hours side by side with abas experts to demonstrate that the AI integrated into management systems is not only viable, but desirable.

And they got it. Four functional prototypes, ready to apply in real environments, left this intense day, driven by Iberian Abas (part of the Forterro Group) as part of its commitment to integrate disruptive technologies such as IA or IoT in the industrial ecosystem. The event also served as a test field for the new ERP ABAS connector, based on chatgpt technology.

The format was clear: collaborative work, concrete objectives and a common goal. The teams not only presented ideas, but developed functional tools focused on real production, purchase or product design. “The AI connector facilitates the creation of personalized automation within the ERP in an agile way, achieving processes that were previously unimaginable without this technology,” said Anartz Burdinola, It Manager in Burdinola.

Ana Hernández, head of computer science in Orbis, also highlighted the practical approach of the meeting: “The experience was wonderful: an agile and connected way of working that allows AI to be applied to very expensive day -to -day basis”.

Applied: from the theory to the workshop

The solutions developed during Hackathon reflect the variety and complexity of the challenges of the industrial sector:

  • Chemikspecialist in electrical components, created a high articles assistant that, thanks to AI, automatically identifies the necessary properties for each product and guides the user in its configuration.
  • Orbis Electrical Technology It presented a system that analyzes historical and market data to anticipate product obsolescence and suggest marketing actions.
  • Burdinola He designed an intelligent assembly estimation engine, eliminating manual calculation and improving precision.
  • MOVITEC developed a tool that evaluates real -time suppliers, considering criteria such as compliance with deliveries, incidents or sustainability.

The jury, formed by representatives of Forterro Abas in Germany and Spain, especially valued the immediate applicability of these proposals. Chemik’s dynamic assistant was chosen as the most innovative Hackathon project.

A mutual learning day

Beyond the technical results, the event stood out for its participatory and collaborative format. “We have all learned: clients, consultants and technical team. It has been a transformative experience,” said Pablo Agruña, Professional Services Manager of Forterro Abas Spain.

Roberto Aniore, manager consultant and event coorganizer, added: “This format demonstrates the power to put together technical knowledge, industrial experience and new technologies. We are very proud of the result and we are already working in future editions”.

The future is here

The ABAS initiative is framed in a context where efficiency, traceability and data -based decisions have become key pillars of industrial success. In October, the company will organize a series of webinars where real cases of use of AI applied to production, with tools such as ProdasoIndustrial solution of the Forterro Group already integrated into ERP Abas.
