The use of digital signatures will increase more than 30% annually until 2026, driven by sectors such as banking, insurance and financial services, which require secure and agile processes, as highlighted by a study by MarketsandMarkets.
Following this trend, Redtrust highlights that Spain is the European country with the highest adoption of digital signatures in the business environment, with a penetration of 83%. IDG data shows that departments such as Finance (71%), Legal (69%) and Human Resources (60%) are the ones that use digital certificates the most to speed up the signing of contracts and sensitive documents, thus achieving greater security, speed and savings of resources.
«The digital certificate has become a central element of the security strategy for companies in Spain. Its ability to guarantee authenticity and protection in each signing process is the main reason why more and more organizations are adopting it.”explains Daniel Rodriguez, director of Redtrust.
The digital signature in Spain
Redtrust’s centralized certificate management offers multiple advantages to companies:
- Digital signature from anywhere: Redtrust Agent centralizes certificates on your server, eliminating the need to install them on each PC. This allows users to sign PDF documents from any device and online through Signtrust, improving security and operability, especially in departments such as Human Resources and Finance. Primary uses include signing PDF documents and code signing, ensuring the confidentiality and legal validity of contracts and sensitive documents, and verifying the authenticity of software to protect the integrity of applications.
The company’s centralized certificate management system allows companies to perform digital signatures with high security standards and operational efficiency
- Control of signature processes: Usage policies can be created to limit digital signature functionality, restricting which users can use certain certificates and limiting their use to business hours.
- Signing event log: Redtrust allows administrators to obtain complete traceability of the signatures made with the certificates, recording who has signed the documents, when and with what certificate, as well as denied uses, with detailed information in personalized reports.
- Mass signing of documents: With the agent in server mode, it is possible to sign several documents at the same time and automate this process in the background, saving time and costs for the company.
- Integration via API: Integration through API allows you to customize your personal area and manage from corporate consoles, integrating and automating processes, managing requests and much more. In addition, it allows signing documents through the DSS signature service with centralized certificates in a completely transparent manner for the user, supporting the XAdES, CAdES and PAdES formats.
Incidents such as D-Link in 2018 and SolarWinds in 2020 demonstrate how cybercriminals can use stolen certificates to distribute malware. With Redtrust, companies centralize the management of these certificates, thus reinforcing their security and the trust of their users.
