In full growth in the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in Spain, users’ trust does not advance at the same rate. According to a recent survey conducted by Luzia, the personal assistant of AI developed in Spain, four out of ten users has stopped using some application for fear of improper use of their personal information. The study, focused on the perception of privacy and data security, reflects a growing concern around Ia -based tools.
The report, which includes the opinions of AI users in our country, confirms that an overwhelming 78% is shown “quite” or “very” concerned about the privacy of your personal data. Only 3% say they have no concern about it. Among the most frequent fears are the impossibility of eliminating or modifying personal data, the use of information without consent, or the dissemination of private images.
“The light -promoted survey highlights the urgent need to increase the transparency and simplicity of personal information, especially in the context of AI. Companies that work with ia must generate confidence among users, and therefore we must prioritize clarity and honesty with our users,” explains Pablo Delgado, spokesman for Luzia.
Increasingly questioned privacy
25% of users declare that, since IA began to use AI tools, their concern for privacy has increased. Another 50% ensure that they remain as worried, while only a quarter claim to feel safer over time.

A good part of that distrust seems to be linked to the complexity of the privacy policies that govern these services. 80% of respondents claim that this information is clearer and more accessible, and just one in three claims to read these policies “sometimes.” Almost half admits to never read them or almost ever.
The gap between concern and action
Despite these fears, not all users act accordingly: one in four does not take any measure to protect their privacy. Among those who do, the most common actions are the reduction of the use of social networks, the elimination of old publications and the regular change of passwords.
The study also reveals a little knowledge about the artificial intelligence law approved in the European Union a year ago. More than 70% of users say they are not familiar with this standard, although 90% are contrary to the fact that IA systems are trained with personal data without express consent.
Recommendations and guarantees
In response to this reality, Luzia has reinforced his commitment to privacy. The assistant processes the messages anonymously, does not store them or use them to train their systems, and use end -to -end encryption. In addition, it has launched a series of recommendations for conscious and safe use of AI: Choose reliable developer tools, inform yourself about the processing of data and think twice before sharing sensitive information.
With more than 70 million users worldwide, Luzia has established himself as one of the most popular personal assistants. Its free application, already with almost 35 million downloads, allows you to interpret images and documents, transcribe audios, translate texts, solve calculations and generate images. A powerful and accessible tool that seeks to combine utility with absolute respect for privacy.
