Veriv has taken a decisive step in its technological innovation strategy by announcing its alignment with the Artificial Intelligence (AI) of Nvidia. In a key movement to anticipate the growing energy demands of the data centers promoted by AI, the company has confirmed the launch, scheduled for the second half of 2026, of a new range of food products based on an architecture of 800 volts in direct current (800 VDC).
This development responds directly to the evolution of GPUS and the need for more efficient, dense and scalable infrastructures. VERTIV proposes a comprehensive solution that includes power supply, cooling systems and associated services, specifically thought for high -performance environments such as AI factories and Hyperscale data centers. Its future product line will facilitate the implementation of the next Nvidia Rubin Ultra and Kyber platforms.
«As GPUS evolves to support increasingly complex applications at gigawatt scale, power suppliers and cooling we need to be equally innovative to provide efficient and high density solutions for AI factories. That the 800 VDC portfolio is new, the DC food does not constitute a novelty for us. We have spent decades, displaying DC of high voltage DC in telecommunications, industrial environments and data centers, ”says Scott Armul, executive vice president of Global Portfolio and Veriv Business Units.
VERTIV MODULAR DESIGN
Veriv’s new 800 VDC portfolio is conceived as a central part of its “computer unit”, a systemic approach in which all infrastructure components, from food to cooling, act as a modular and interoperable ecosystem. This design is oriented to homogeneous areas and deployments in Hyperscale environments, where energy efficiency and adaptation capacity are crucial.
The company announces a new generation of energy solutions ready to respond to the demands of AI factories and next generation GPUS
In this way, the company will integrate centralized rectifiers, distribution bars in high efficiency DC, DC-DC talks at racky level and backup systems compatible with DC feeding. These new solutions are added to its already robust Food Catalog, consolidating its role as a versatile supplier in a rapid transformation market.
Experience in DC
Veriv’s trajectory in the field of direct current food dates back more than twenty years, with ± 400 VDC solutions already deployed in global telecommunications networks, micro -redes and critical facilities. This experience, together with strategic acquisitions in the 2000s, provides the company with a solid base from which to lead the energy transition of new generation data centers.
With this initiative, they not only respond to the current challenges of the sector, but also position itself in advance against emerging demands of the AI accelerated.
