On the occasion of International Women’s Day, Logicalis focuses on the role of female talent in the technology sector, a field that continues to evolve towards more diverse and inclusive models, although it still presents important challenges in terms of representation of female talent. Along these lines, the company’s data reflects both the advances that are being produced and the dynamics that still characterize the IT market.
“According to the closing of the fiscal year on February 28, 2026, women represent close to a fifth of our workforce at Logicalis,” explains Sandra Casanova, HR Director Logicalis.
A figure that reflects the company’s progressive evolution towards more diverse teams and that is framed in the reality of the technology sector, where the female presence still continues to be a structural challenge.
Prominent role in data analytics
Along these lines, one of the most significant advances is observed in areas related to data analytics. In the last year, the female presence in the Analytics area has experienced notable growth, with an increase of more than 50%.
“This evolution reflects a trend that is beginning to consolidate in the sector: the progressive incorporation of more women into emerging disciplines such as data analysis, artificial intelligence or the development of information-based solutions,” says Sandra.
However, the data also reflects some of the structural challenges that the technology market still presents. In technical areas such as cybersecurity or professional services, which concentrate a large part of the specialized technological profiles, the male presence continues to be the majority compared to female talent.
This distribution reproduces a common pattern in the IT sector, where the historically lower presence of women in STEM careers continues to have a direct impact on the composition of technical teams. However, the evolution in areas such as Analytics reflects how the advancement of new technological disciplines is helping to open new opportunities for female talent.
At the same time, women maintain a prominent presence in corporate areas. In Administration, for example, the Logicalis team has 56 women compared to 10 men. “This shows a still unequal distribution between the different areas of technological organizations, but also a progressive diversification of profiles,” says Casanova.
Female talent leadership
With all this, one of the most relevant indicators is in the area of leadership. Logicalis’ first line of management has reached parity, with four women and four men. “A particularly significant fact in an industry where women continue to be underrepresented in executive and decision-making positions,” she insists.
There is a progressive incorporation of more women into emerging disciplines such as data analysis, artificial intelligence or the development of information-based solutions.
Precisely, Logicalis assures that the data reflects a gradual trend towards greater diversity within the organization and allows drawing a representative photograph of the evolution of the technology sector.
“In a sector marked by digital transformation and a shortage of specialized talent, promoting the participation of women in technology is a strategic lever to promote innovation and build stronger organizations,” concludes the directive.
In line with this commitment, Logicalis Spain has recently announced an alliance with Womenalia, a Spanish company with extensive experience in female empowerment and talent and a strong social impact in the business environment. Both organizations will work throughout the year on a common agenda of initiatives to make visible and enhance the role of women in the company, especially in the technology sector.
