Netflix is increasing its prices, so we tell you what’s changing, what’s on offer, how to cancel your subscription and what’s worth knowing.

From May 2026, Netflix has introduced a new price list in Poland, which will be applicable to everyone regardless of the package chosen. This is yet another round of increases in recent years, and the scale of the changes this time is clearly noticeable.

How much will Netflix cost in 2026? New prices and increase

The Basic Plan, which allows you to watch content in 720p resolution on one device at a time, now costs PLN 37 per month – PLN 4 more than before. The Standard Plan with Full HD quality and support for two screens simultaneously was priced at PLN 55 per month, which is an increase of PLN 6 compared to the previous price. The most expensive available variant – the Premium Plan with Ultra HD 4K image, HDR support and Dolby Atmos sound, as well as the ability to use the account on four devices at the same time – increased in price from PLN 67 to PLN 75 per month. The changes for existing users are to be introduced gradually over the coming weeks from the date of announcement.

New price for an additional Netflix user

The increases also included the option of an additional user. The cost of adding another person to the account under the Standard and Premium plans has increased from PLN 13 to PLN 16 per month for each additional place. This is a significant change for families/couples who use one account in different households – the total monthly bill may increase more than the change in the price of the base plan alone. In practice, this means that two people using the Standard Plan at different addresses will pay a total of PLN 71 per month instead of the current PLN 62.

How do I cancel my Netflix subscription?

For people who are considering canceling after the increase, the good news is that the cancellation procedure is simple and does not involve any penalty fees. The process for canceling directly through Netflix is as follows: Once you’ve logged into your account on netflix.com, go to Settings, select the Manage Membership section, then click “Cancel Membership” and confirm your decision. The subscription remains active until the end of the paid billing period – the platform does not charge fees for the next month, and access to the content is not immediately cut off.

Cancellation by carrier or app store

The situation is slightly more complicated when Netflix is paid for via an operator – such as Plus, Orange, Play or T-Mobile – or via an external platform, i.e. Google Play or App Store. In this case, cancellation must be made by the supplier concerned and not directly with the website. But let me remind you that cancellation rates and conditions may vary depending on the operator and include specific notice periods or additional formalities. In such a case, the fastest way is to contact the customer service of a given platform or enter the subscription settings in the appropriate application.

What is worth knowing before making a decision?

People considering canceling or changing their plan should remember that Netflix does not offer active sign-in promotions for returning users – returning after cancellation simply means purchasing a subscription at the full, current price. Those who stay with the platform, however, may want to consider downgradei.e. switching to a cheaper plan if the current possibilities are not fully used. Plan management is available in the same place as the cancellation option – in your account settings in the “Manage Membership” section.
