Celonis has announced an expansion of its collaboration with Amazon Web Services to enable companies to leverage artificial intelligence in a deep operations context, enabling them to realize real business value and continuously optimize their operations. With a new zero-copy connection to AWS services, customers will be able to combine the world-class cloud storage and data management offered by Amazon S3 and AWS Glue with the powerful Celonis platform to improve their business operations.
Improved efficiency of operations
The integration between Celonis and AWS offers:
- ROI Agents: Introduce real-time operational context into Amazon Bedrock on AWS to create AI agents that can understand operations, automate complex tasks within operations, and drive measurable results.
- High-performance data access: Direct querying of data in Amazon S3 provides up to 5-10x faster performance across the entire data stream, streamlining operations compared to traditional pull-based methods.
- Reducing data duplication: Zero-copy architecture maintains a single source of truth, reducing storage costs and improving the efficiency of data management operations.
- Improved data security and governance: Existing security and governance frameworks are preserved, ensuring data operations are secure and traceable using AWS Glue, Amazon S3 Tables, and other Apache Iceberg REST Catalog-based services.
Digital twin of operations
Thanks to the Iceberg REST Catalog, the Celonis Process Intelligence Graph can read real-time data stored in Amazon S3 on AWS. This data, when enriched with advanced operations context, allows companies to create a digital twin of their operations. This process-focused foundation can feed Amazon Bedrock to develop and deploy AI agents that understand how business operations actually flow.
“It is time to leave behind the era of experimental AI projects and make way for enterprise AI that produces tangible results,” said Dan Brown, Chief Product Officer at Celonis. “By integrating with Amazon S3, we are greatly accelerating the time to value for our customers. “We provide agents built with Amazon Bedrock with the real-time operations context they need to make sound decisions, act effectively, and drive operations improvements quickly.”
“Customers don’t want to wait months to migrate data before realizing benefits from AI; “They want to put their data to work where it already is,” says Carol Potts, General Manager of ISV Sales for AWS in the United States. “This collaboration with Celonis makes this possible, bringing process intelligence directly to Amazon S3 and simplifying data operations, so teams can focus on building smarter AI agents in Amazon Bedrock instead of managing complex data processes. “Together, we are helping to accelerate the move from AI experimentation to real impact on operations.”
The zero-copy connection between Celonis and AWS allows us to significantly reduce unnecessary data movement
“At the BMW Group, transforming large volumes of process data into tangible operational impact is key to continually improving our manufacturing and business processes,” said Marco Görgmaier, Vice President Data, Artificial Intelligence and Business Platform. “The zero-copy connection between Celonis and AWS allows us to significantly reduce unnecessary data movement, while maintaining control of process data. “This provides the necessary context for analytics, AI agents and automated workflows, allowing us to more quickly identify opportunities for improvement and drive more efficient enterprise-level operations.”
The integration of Celonis with AWS is made possible by the Iceberg REST Catalog and the high-performance data infrastructure Celonis Data Core, allowing you to scale and optimize data and process operations in complex enterprise environments.
