TrendAI, the enterprise business unit of the company Trend Micro, has announced its incorporation into the Glasswing project, an initiative promoted to help organizations detect and mitigate vulnerabilities in critical software systems through the use of advanced artificial intelligence capabilities.
As part of the program, TrendAI will use Claude Mythos Preview, the AI model developed by Anthropic, to strengthen code review and analysis processes. The goal is to help threat intelligence teams turn increasingly rapid vulnerability detection into concrete protective actions, including coordinated responsible disclosure processes, prioritized remediation strategies, and effective risk reduction through vulnerability shielding and virtual patching techniques.
Artificial intelligence is transforming the way software vulnerabilities are identified, significantly speeding up detection times. For TrendAI, this evolution represents an opportunity to strengthen the security of the digital ecosystem through collaboration between researchers, technology providers and organizations specialized in cybersecurity, a philosophy that the company has shared for years with technological partners such as Anthropic.
“We share Anthropic’s vision of harnessing the potential of artificial intelligence to build more secure software. Today, organizations depend on applications and systems that operate at scale and support critical business processes. The Glasswing project provides us with a unique opportunity to explore how advanced AI can help software developers and vendors identify vulnerabilities earlier and strengthen the resilience of the digital infrastructures on which businesses and users depend,” says Rachel Jin, Director of TrendAI™.
Glasswing Project Community
Project Glasswing (or Project Glasswing) is a cybersecurity initiative promoted by Anthropic, the company that created the Claude AI model. The main goal of the project is to use advanced artificial intelligence to detect critical vulnerabilities in software and digital infrastructure before they can be exploited by attackers.
Anthropic introduced Project Glasswing in April 2026 as an international collaboration between technology companies, security entities and critical infrastructure organizations. The core of the project is an experimental model called Claude Mythos Preview, designed to analyze code and discover security flaws more effectively than most specialized human analysts.
According to Anthropic, the model has already identified thousands of high-severity vulnerabilities in widely used software systems, including web browsers, operating systems and open source projects. The initiative seeks to anticipate a scenario in which AI can also be used by cybercriminals or state actors to launch more sophisticated attacks.
With this addition, TrendAI becomes part of a growing community of organizations collaborating on the Glasswing project to explore how more advanced AI models can help strengthen cyber defense capabilities and improve the protection of critical software infrastructures. The knowledge obtained through the program will also contribute to boosting the sector’s efforts to strengthen the security of the global digital ecosystem.
According to Anthropic, the model has already identified thousands of vulnerabilities in widely used software systems.
Among the companies that are part of it are: AWS, Apple, Broadcom, Cisco, CrowdStrike, Google, JPMorgan Chase, Linux Foundation, Microsoft, NVIDIA, Palo Alto Networks and Okta. Additionally, during 2026 Anthropic has expanded the program to around 150 additional organizations in more than 15 countries, including sectors related to energy, healthcare, telecommunications, hardware and critical infrastructure.
