SonicWall has announced a unified endpoint security solution developed specifically for managed service providers (MSPs) protecting small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs). Called SonicWall Endpoint Security, the new platform allows MSPs to offer advanced detection and response (EDR) capabilities as a standalone solution or incorporate a managed detection and response (MDR) service operated entirely by the SonicSentry security operations center.
SonicWall Endpoint Security integrates advanced threat protection, automated response, and one-click ransomware recovery into a single platform. The solution also incorporates SonicWall’s patented Real-Time Deep Memory Inspection (RTDMI™) engine, designed to identify and block advanced threats in real time.
A growing need for MSPs and SMEs
The launch comes in a context in which SMEs are increasingly exposed to cyberattacks, while MSPs must offer a high level of protection without disproportionately increasing their operating costs. It is estimated that one in three SMEs will suffer a cyberattack, while 60% of MSPs that experience a security breach never fully recover.
Despite this reality, many endpoint security solutions aimed at the SME segment are simplified versions of enterprise platforms, with limited capabilities to detect and respond to sophisticated attacks. SonicWall Endpoint Security was born to fill this gap and make advanced protection technology available to MSPs without adding the complexity traditionally associated with enterprise solutions.
“MSPs should not have to choose between enterprise-grade protection and the viability of their margins,” said Chandro Prasad, chief product officer at SonicWall. “SonicWall Endpoint Security puts an end to that dilemma. It offers MSPs and their clients the same detection and response technology that large enterprises rely on, integrated into a platform that is easy to deploy and manage, and priced to fit real-world budgets.”
Advanced protection on a platform designed for MSPs
SonicWall Endpoint Security brings together next-generation antivirus (NGAV) and EDR into a single lightweight agent, managed from a centralized, multi-tenant console. In this way, MSPs can manage different environments and clients from a single platform, simplifying security operations.
Among the main capabilities of the solution are:
- Advanced Threat Prevention – Combines behavior-based heuristic analysis, patented RTDMI™ technology, and history-based automated responses (STAR) to improve threat detection and response.
- Verified Protection: SonicWall Endpoint Security is included in Virus Bulletin’s VB100 list.
- Ransomware recovery: One-click rollback allows affected endpoints to be restored to a known safe state in minutes.
- Simplified management and integration: Incorporates device control and facilitates integration with SIEM tools and incident management systems, helping MSPs centralize and streamline their operations.
SonicSentry: 24-hour managed security
For those MSPs and partners who do not have their own security team, SonicWall offers MDR for Endpoint Security, a service fully managed through SonicSentry.
The SonicWall SOC operates 24/7/365, undertaking tasks such as deployment, threat detection, incident response, and policy management. This way, MSPs can provide ongoing protection and access to expertise without needing to bring in additional analysts or assume the costs and complexity of operating their own SOC.
The proposal has already been tested by Firewalls.com, an MSP that participated in the SonicWall Endpoint Security beta program and decided to adopt the platform to also protect its own environment.

“Deployment was seamless, management was intuitive, and preconfigured policies allowed us to deliver effective protection right out of the box,” said Johnny S. Casiano III, director of Professional Services at Firewalls.com. “We evaluated the platform thoroughly through the beta program, and there is no better support than relying on the same technology to protect our own business as the one we confidently recommend to our clients.”
SonicWall Endpoint Security is now available through SonicWall’s global partner network, via monthly or term subscription options. The solution is also integrated into SonicWall’s unified management ecosystem along with its network security, firewall and cloud security technologies.
