Mutgest, a Canarian SME specialized in the implementation of electronic administration and modernization of ICT systems for public entities, has managed to strengthen its security environment and optimize its cloud infrastructure thanks to the implementation of advanced solutions of Microsoft 365 and Azure, with the strategic support of Aitana.
The company, with more than 30 years of experience in the sector, faced the challenge of meeting the demanding requirements of the National Security Scheme (Ease) at its high level, a fundamental requirement to continue operating with the public administration. In addition, its technological infrastructure presented multiple tools of different suppliers, which made security integration and management difficult.

To address these challenges, the Aitana technology consultant proposed a strategy based on the Microsoft 365 Premium company, implementing advanced security solutions such as defending for office 365, defending for business, Attack Surface Reduction (ASR) and intuit, in addition to conditional access policies (Enter ID Plan 1) and web filtering protection.

Likewise, the Microsoft partner made a redesign of the cloud infrastructure in Azure, improving data protection, access management and cost optimization. “We have not only managed to strengthen our safety, but now we have a totally integrated, safe and controlled environment, with high level certification,” says Jesús Jiménez, head of Security in Mutgest.

The implementation of these solutions has allowed Mungest to consolidate its cybersecurity, reducing management times and operating costs, generating savings of more than 50% compared to the acquisition of third -party tools, while facilitating a centralized and efficient administration.
Another key benefits has been the optimization of cloud infrastructure. “The infrastructure displayed in Azure has been parameterized for activation and deactivation according to its use, which has allowed us significant cost savings,” adds Falcón.
In addition to overcoming the Ens certification, Mutgest has achieved a more agile and safe work environment, with unified tools and a detailed vision of the status of their safety. “Thanks to Microsoft 365 and Aitana’s consulting, we now have total control over our devices and systems, guaranteeing maximum protection in our operations with public administration,” concludes Jiménez.
