The Spanish technology multinational Aggity, specialized in advanced analytics, artificial intelligence and Industry 4.0, has signed a strategic collaboration agreement with ifm Spain, a subsidiary of the German manufacturer of sensors, connectivity and systems for Industry 4.0, to offer the market a comprehensive smart factory proposal. In this way, both companies address the connectivity of production plants, from sensors to management systems, as well as the conversion of operations data for decision making in each business.
The consensus between aggity and ifm Spain contemplates the joint development of vertical solutions, the creation of reference cases in industrial clients and a joint marketing plan in Spain. The agreement has also been signed at a key moment of transition in the industry, from traditional automation towards a model based on intelligent industrial software, simulation and digital twins, data exploitation and AI.
Apply agentic AI on a connected database
The agreement has three fundamental objectives. The first of them is to connect and digitize plant assets using IIoT sensors, IO-Link technology and ifm’s connectivity and edge solutions, to guarantee reliable and real-time data from the field level. The second is to exploit operational data by integrating it into aggity’s Industrial Intelligence platform, CORTEX ONE, which connects advanced planning (APS), execution (MES), discrete event simulation (DES) and industrial analytics in a single decision environment, to improve OEE, traceability, quality and energy efficiency.
Finally, and as a third objective, apply CORTEX ONE’s agentic AI on this connected database, to enable predictive maintenance, early detection of anomalies, simulation of scenarios on the digital twin of the plant and industrial co-pilots that assist operators and engineers in their daily work.
Through this collaboration, both companies will offer manufacturers in sectors such as food, automotive, packaging, chemicals or pharmaceuticals a path of progressive adoption and rapid return with projects that reduce unplanned stops, reduce energy consumption and shorten start-up times, supported by open and cyber-secure architectures aligned with European regulations (NIS2, CRA).
