AWS has just celebrated his event on the generative event in his AWS generative year event that has shown the ability of the multinational in this area. It seems that AWS are only data or cloud centers, but the company’s power covers any type of technological service that someone imagines and, evidently, artificial intelligence cannot be left aside.

The key to the meeting is that it gives the feeling that companies still do not know how to carry out the projects and concept evidence that they carry out on artificial intelligence. And AWS presents itself as a protagonist, with endless solutions and tools for that trend to change.

Of course, the data shows the power that AWS has around AI. As explained during the main presentation Eduardo Ordax, responsible for generative in AWS, “the company processes more than a trillion of predictions monthly.” The impact of AWS power does not remain only in its processing capacity, but on the number of developments and AI services that incorporate into their portfolio. The account is innumerable.

An example of its capacity is Amazon Bedrock, an AWS managed service that simplifies the development of generative AI applications by providing unified access to foundational models (FMS) of different suppliers and that functions as a centralized platform so that developers can spend models with their own data, implement scalable applications if having to manage underly Anthropic.

The latter had a great prominence during the celebration of the event. It is not for less, since AWS decided to invest 4,000 million dollars at the end of last year in this generative company. As revealed during the meeting, the goal of Anthropic is to develop capable, connected and safe artificial intelligence models. In this sense, its recent model, Claude 3.7 Sonnet, with advances in agile coding and extended reasoning. The new version not only improves general capacities, but also establishes new standards in key areas such as Agentic coding. This ability allows models to address complex and diverse coding tasks, decomposing them and executing them with high precision, positioning Anthropic as leader in this field. In addition, the new version incorporates hybrid reasoning, which combines the ability to offer immediate responses with the possibility of thinking for extended periods, offering flexibility in terms of precision and latency according to the task.

But as Frances Pye, head of Emea alliances in Anthropic, explained, «the cornerstone of Anthropic’s proposal is security. Confidence in capable and connected models is essential to grant them autonomy. The security for Anthropic covers a broad spectrum, from the prevention of malicious uses to the guarantee of reliable behavior in the real world. Its security approach extends throughout the entire life cycle of the development and implementation of AI, starting with the training of safe models using diverse data sets and advanced methodologies such as constitutional AI ».

The challenges of incorporating AI

AWS is aware that companies have numerous challenges when adopting AI, but to overcome them organizations will have to focus on three sections as Ana Jiménez Castellanos, main head of sales of AI for South Europe in AWS: “Culture, establishment of structured processes and implement an organization focused on excellence” stated.
