This new solution is not a simple technological evolution, but a firm commitment to transparency and environmental control. Through a rigorous and detailed methodology, Ovhcloud customers can know – and reduce – the carbon footprint of their cloud services, including Bare Metal, Hosted Private Cloud and Public Cloud Compute products.
A reference in environmental transparency for European cloud
Environmental impact tracker is built on the basis of the Ovhcloud carbon calculator, created in 2023, but makes a qualitative leap in terms of precision and coverage. Now not only calculate greenhouse gas emissions from manufacturing to infrastructure exploitation, but also incorporates a Full life cycle analysisincluding scope 1, 2 and 3.

Towards a greener, smarter and more complete
The added value of the Environmento impact tracker goes beyond CO₂. In the coming months, OVHCloud will integrate new indicators that will expand the dimension of environmental analysis, turning this solution into a tool Multicriterium. Among the new planned metrics include water consumption, the use of abiotic resources and the impact on land use.

Availability and expansion: a global, but responsible strategy
The tool is available for OVHCloud customers worldwide – except in the United States – and can be accessed from Ovhcloud Manager or Vía API. The functionalities will be extended progressively throughout the year. Public Cloud Compute is already active, while the capabilities for Storage, Hosting Web and Multicriterium Support will arrive soon.
With one of the best indexes of energy and hydraulic efficiency (PUE and WUE) of the sector, and a strategy that bets on large -scale watercooling and the own industrial model, OVHcloud again demonstrates that it is possible to combine high technological performance with real sustainability.
