What is the main part of the ImaSapi’s budget?
To corporate trunk tools such as CRM, ERP, HR and cybersecurity.
In which area is this year being invested?
In cybersecurity.
What project is the most satisfied?
The transformation of the supplier billing process, moving from a paper system to a completely digital format, which has improved the efficiency, traceability and sustainability of the process.
If you put all the benefits of the company in charge of the IT department, what would you like to implement?
Totally digital processes, with evolution and automation, oriented to operational efficiency, error reduction and improvement of internal user experience.
What challenges does a sector like yours have?
One of the main challenges is the low digital maturity of the sector, added to a template with a high age with little familiarity with digital tools. This hinders the adoption of new technologies and forces to design very progressive digital transformation strategies and focused on cultural training and change.
What do you think of R&D?
It is absolutely necessary. You should always invest in research, development and innovation if you want to maintain competitiveness, adapt to technological changes and offer added value solutions. It is not an option, it is a strategic obligation.
What will the irruption of AI help a company like yours?
Artificial intelligence allows optimizing the treatment of information and automating repetitive tasks, which improves operational efficiency, reduces errors and releases resources for more added activities.
What main trends do you observe in the ICT world?
The main trend is to consolidate the robustness of the company’s technological pillars – like Core and infrastructure systems – at the same time that the adoption of technologies that directly help employees in their day to day is promoted. All this without losing sight of the growing role of artificial intelligences, which are transforming the way we operate and make decisions.
To extract the value of the data, what does it mean for a company like Ingesan?
It involves transforming data into a strategic asset for the company. It is not just about storing information, but about becoming useful knowledge that allows more informed decisions, anticipating problems and detecting opportunities for improvement in processes.
In the or on-premise cloud?
We currently live with Legacy ecosystems that operate in on-premise environments, but we are incorporating new resources and cloud services. This hybrid strategy allows us to maintain the stability of critical systems while we take advantage of the flexibility, scalability and cloud efficiency for new developments and services.
Companies have cybersecurity as one of their priorities, what points do you most affect in your cybersecurity strategy?
Cybersecurity is an absolute priority. We maintain a constant focus on the protection of critical systems, the early detection of threats, continuous staff training and the continuous improvement of our incident response capabilities.
Is the lack of customer and employee security knowledge the main challenge?
Yes, it is a very high risk vector. The lack of awareness and training in cybersecurity by employees and clients can even compromise the best technical infrastructure. Therefore, we invest in continuous training and awareness campaigns as an essential part of our strategy.
You have a crystal ball … How do you see a company like yours in 10 years? What technologies are the ones that will impact them the most?
It is practically impossible to make a 10 -year prediction seen, especially with the speed at which artificial intelligence evolves. Each quarter arise new capabilities that transform processes, business models and ways of working. What is certain is that adaptability and the ability to integrate new technologies will be key to stay competitive.
One of the pillars of ImaSapi’s strategy is sustainability, how does it impact the IT department?
Sustainability is one of the recently incorporated indicators.
