OVHcloud held the “OVHcloud Summit 2024”, its annual summit at the Maison de la Mutualité in Paris, highlighting its latest innovations and strategies for the future. This event, which marks the company’s 25th anniversary, brought together nearly 1,000 technology experts, including developers, AI specialists, hardware and software providers, and students.

Growth and Leadership

With 1.6 million customers and a turnover close to €1 billion in 2024, OVHcloud has consolidated its position as a key player in the global cloud market. Benjamin Revcolevschi, the new CEO of OVHcloud, highlighted the company’s commitment to developing high-performance, reliable and sustainable products. The roadmap to 2025 includes the introduction of new public cloud and artificial intelligence products, the consolidation of its private cloud offerings and continued investment in sovereign products.

Certification and Security

In a complex geopolitical context, the company has focused on offering trusted and sovereign cloud services. The company has invested in certifications such as ISO 27001, ISO 27701, ENS in Spain, C5 in Germany and ACN in Italy. In France, OVHcloud has renewed its SecNumCloud certification to version 3.2, guaranteeing high levels of data protection and security. Additionally, they have launched Bare Metal Pod, a sovereign solution that offers complete control over data in a secure and isolated environment, with SecNumCloud certification expected in early 2025.

International Expansion

OVHcloud continues its global expansion with the first 3-AZ region outside France, in Milan, planned for the end of 2025. This region will offer a combination of IaaS and PaaS products with a higher level of resilience. Additionally, the company plans to establish five additional 3-AZ regions in Europe, North America and Asia-Pacific. Local Zones, which enable reduced latency times and local data residency, are also expanding, with 16 Local Zones already operational and a target of 42 by August 2025.

Continuous Innovation

During the event, Yaniv Fdida, Chief Product and Technology Officer of OVHcloud, presented advances in several areas:

  • webcloud: Infrastructure renewal to improve performance, with commercial launch of Zimbra Starter in January 2025 and a managed web hosting platform by summer 2025.
  • Bare Metal: New range of servers with AMD EPYC 4004 processors and future updates with AMD Ryzen 9000 series and AMD EPYC 5th generation processors.
  • Public Cloud: Availability of the KMS solution for encryption key management and the Object Storage API S3 offering in the 3-AZ Paris region.
  • Data Platform and AI Endpoints: Solutions for data management and artificial intelligence, including the Omisimo platform to select the best AI model according to the question.
  • Private Cloud: New offerings based on VMware Cloud Foundation and Nutanix, with additional backup solutions.

Quantum Cloud

OVHcloud is also driving quantum computing with its Quantum Cloud platform, which will allow calculations to be performed on real quantum computers. The first quantum computer, Pasqal, will join the platform in 2025, with a power of 100 Qubits, and up to six quantum computers are expected to be part of the offering by 2027.

OVHcloud stands out for its focus on sustainability, with an integrated model that guarantees complete control of its value chain, from the design and construction of servers to the orchestration of its fiber optic network. This approach allows the company to offer high-performance solutions with a minimal carbon footprint, benefiting its customers with efficient use of resources.
