HP has announced major updates to the device management capabilities of its Workforce Experience Platform (WXP), designed to help organizations ensure business continuity and deliver more seamless work experiences in hybrid and distributed environments.

As hybrid working continues to take hold, IT teams face increasing pressure to deliver secure, reliable and consistent environments whether in the office, at home or on the go. In this context, Workforce Experience Platform goes beyond traditional IT management and is positioned as a strategic platform that allows organizations to operate with greater agility and resilience.

New capabilities in its Workforce Experience Platform include firmware-level recovery for non-booting devices, unified printer management, advanced collaboration space analytics, custom alerts, and faster global deployment through AWS Marketplace. These improvements help reduce downtime, simplify operations, and improve the employee experience.

Single OEM with remote access from a single platform

Through its Workforce Experience Platform, the new Out-of-Band Remote Connecti feature allows IT to manage updates, diagnose issues and resolve problems on any PC with Intel vPro Enterprise, even below the operating system layer. This gives IT administrators full access to keyboard, video, and mouse (KVM) control at the BIOS level, even if the operating system fails to boot or has been corrupted.

This approach applied to your Workforce Experience Platform significantly reduces resolution times and eliminates the need to ship replacement devices, deploy technicians, or involve employees in complex recovery processes. In large organizations, this translates into fewer wasted hours and a tangible improvement in uptime, as well as reducing the environmental impact associated with logistics and in-person support.

Workforce Experience Platform is currently the only multi-vendor solution that combines firmware-level remote control and traditional in-band remote access into a single management platform. Out-of-Band Remote Connect is now available, as a stand-alone license per device or as an additional feature of the WXP Fleet Management2 plan.

Unified Printer Management

Printing problems continue to be one of the most common issues for IT teams. With the new capabilities of WXP, administrators can now monitor fleets of printers from multiple vendors from the same console used for PCs and video and audio devices, as well as manage the configuration and security of HP FutureSmart5 business printers.

This integration reduces operational complexity, eliminates siled tools, and provides a complete view of the device ecosystem. For employees, it means fewer interruptions; for IT managers, in more efficient and coherent management.

Actionable data to optimize meeting spaces

HP has added Collaboration Space Insights to WXP, giving organizations a comprehensive view of the use of their meeting spaces. The solution combines booking data, technology utilization and IoT sensors to identify inefficiencies and guide technology and real estate investment decisions.

The result is greater visibility of the actual use of rooms and collaborative spaces, which allows you to maximize return on investment and improve team productivity.

Custom alerts for more effective monitoring

The new custom alerts that HP has added to its Workforce Experience Platform allow IT teams to define specific rules at the fleet or device level, setting thresholds, recovery periods and escalation criteria. Stabilized alerts can be resolved automatically and notifications are sent through the platform itself, email or Microsoft Teams.

This functionality improves the ability to anticipate and respond to incidents, ensuring that information reaches the right people at the right time. With this integration, IT teams will be able to provision Wordforce Experience Platform in minutes and simplify purchasing and management processes.
