For many people, using an AI-enabled PC at work is already part of everyday life. But really, how much faster can you work on a PC with AI? Two research centers have published reports confirming that properly configured AI PCs can significantly increase productivity in both traditional office applications and more advanced “power user” scenarios that rely on an AI PC.
Saving time in activities
The first study showed that using artificial intelligence on computers, especially on an AI PC equipped with AMD Ryzen AI PRO 300 Series processors, reduced the time needed to complete six typical office tasks by an average of 67.1%. In some areas, such as changing the tone of an email or composing a formal message from an AI-powered PC, tasks were completed up to 93% faster. Particularly impressive time savings were seen in the following activities performed on an AI PC:
- Write a formal email – just 1 minute instead of 15 (93.8%) using a PC with AI
- Create a Gantt chart in Excel: up to 73% faster on a PC with AI
- Summarize emails, Jira docs, and meeting notes: Savings ranging from 40 seconds to more than 14 minutes per task with AI-enabled PC
According to these estimates, an employee working with an AI-enabled PC could recover more than 16 hours per week, equivalent to more than two full workdays.
Using AI in local execution
The second study found that although individual tasks are completed on average 30 to 70% faster on an AI PC, the real advantage comes from accumulating small time savings throughout the work day with an AI PC. A sample set of daily activities was reduced from 95 minutes to 61 minutes, a time savings of 36% when working with an AI-enabled PC. Over the course of a year, this translates to up to 7 additional weeks that can be dedicated to creative work, personal relationships, and other tasks. It was also noted that AMD Ryzen AI processors enable the use of AI running locally on an AI PC (for example, for content generation with LM Studio), helping to maintain complete privacy of sensitive company data on an AI PC.

Both reports highlight that AMD Ryzen AI PRO 300 processors exceed Microsoft Copilot+ requirements thanks to an NPU that delivers more than 50 TOPS, turning any compatible computer into a powerful AI PC. This enables smooth operation of local AI models without cloud access from an AI PC, as well as efficient performance of functions such as:
- Automatic email summary on a PC with AI
- Team meeting notes generated by an AI PC
- Intelligent editing and updating of presentations from a PC with AI
- Generation of designs and documents on a PC with AI
- Change in communication style and tone thanks to PC with AI
According to these reports, delaying investment while waiting for the next “ideal” solution can allow competitors to gain a market advantage using existing systems, especially by using an AI-enabled PC, which already:
- Increase employee productivity by relieving them of repetitive tasks with a PC with AI
- Reduce errors and the need for corrections thanks to a PC with AI
- Contains operational costs by reducing time spent on administrative tasks by using an AI-enabled PC
