Salesforce and Workday have launched an innovative AI assistant for employee service. This new AI agent is designed to automate repetitive tasks, provide personalized assistance, and offer data-driven insights, making it easier for employees to work more efficiently and productively.
Salesforce’s Agentforce and Einstein AI integration with the Workday AI platform will enable organizations to develop and manage agents for a wide range of employee needs. This AI agent will collaborate with employees, helping them achieve personal and customer service success across the organization.
Using data from Salesforce CRM and financial and HR data from Workday, these new AI agents will have a trusted, shared database, allowing them to communicate with employees in natural language with near-human understanding. This will make processes like onboarding, health benefits changes, career development, and more easier than ever.
The AI opportunity for all businesses lies in growing their workforce and delivering amazing customer experiences”it states Marc Benioff, Chair and CEO of Salesforce. “That’s why we’re so excited about our new Agentforce platform, which enables people and AI to drive customer success together, and this new partnership with Workday will enable us to jointly build an employee service agent.”
Salesforce and Workday with AI
This new strategic alliance will unite the two most widely used cloud platforms in companies willing to transform work and create new employee experiences powered by generative AI. The partnership will offer:
- AI Employee Service Agent powered by Einstein 1 platform and Workday AI: Salesforce and Workday will integrate the Einstein Agent Platform with Workday AI, delivering the power of two generative AI solutions and creating a seamless employee experience accessible across Salesforce and Workday. The AI employee service agent uses LLMs to communicate in natural language and shared data to deliver relevant, conversational responses to employee queries. Keeping the employee at the center, the agent will recommend and take action across platforms on behalf of the employee, helping them to be more productive and efficient. For more complicated issues that require a human presence, the agent will quickly transfer to a human.
This alliance will offer a personalized, AI-powered assistant for employee services such as onboarding, healthcare benefits, and career development in Salesforce and Workday.
- Shared database based on Salesforce Data Cloud and Workday: Salesforce and Workday will have a shared database that connects Workday’s financial and HR data to Salesforce CRM data. To make this possible, Workday will leverage the Salesforce Zero Copy Partner Network. This will allow customers to access financial, HR, and CRM data across Salesforce and Workday platforms without having to duplicate data or build custom integrations, while ensuring secure data exchange so users only see authorized information.
- Seamless integration between Workday and Slack: Workday will enhance its integration with Slack, providing a deep conversational interface for users to access and collaborate around Workday HR and financial records, such as tasks, payments, work requests, employee details, general ledgers, all directly in Slack. Slack preserves conversations about these records, making it easy to find, summarize, and act on information in Workday at any time.
