The Spanish cloud market has left the adoption phase behind to enter a stage of maturity, in which the cloud is consolidated as the platform on which organizations build their artificial intelligence, resilience and digital transformation strategies. This is reflected in the tenth edition of the Cloud Market Report in Spain 2026, prepared by the international strategy and technology consultancy Eraneos, based on surveys carried out with more than 100 managers responsible for technology and digitalization of the main Spanish companies by turnover.
Greater commitment to hybrid architectures
The study concludes that the cloud is no longer conceived as a technological infrastructure, but as a strategic asset for the business. Most organizations continue to increase their investment, incorporate advanced artificial intelligence capabilities and opt for hybrid and multicloud architectures that allow them to combine flexibility, resilience and cost optimization.
In this sense, Eduardo Gómez, Manager of Sourcing and IT Advisory at Eraneos Iberia, states that “after analyzing the evolution of the market and the investment forecasts of the main Spanish organizations, we estimate that the cloud market will exceed 8,000 million euros in 2026, (17% more than in 2025). This forecast confirms that the cloud has reached a high degree of maturity: we have gone from a stage focused on technological migration to another in which the value lies in what organizations are able to build on the cloud.
Artificial intelligence consolidates a new stage
One of the main findings of the report is the close integration between cloud and artificial intelligence. 58.8% of organizations already use Generative AI and Machine Learning in production cloud environments, while another 29.4% plan to implement these capabilities in the coming months, placing potential adoption above 88%.
In addition, six out of ten companies already store more than 50% of their data in the cloud, an essential requirement to scale artificial intelligence projects. According to the report, the market is evolving from the concept of data gravity to that of AI gravity, where applications, processes and decisions move towards the environments where intelligence resides.
«The cloud has gone from being the place where data is hosted to being the place where business intelligence is cultivated. Where before we talked about data gravity, today we talk about AI gravity,” explains Eduardo Martín.
The study also confirms that technological transformation continues to advance towards more sophisticated models. Almost eight out of ten organizations already operate with hybrid or multicloud architectures, consolidating a scenario in which their own infrastructures coexist with different cloud providers to respond to specific business, regulation or performance needs.

However, modernization still presents relevant challenges. Hidden costs, lack of specialized knowledge, integration difficulties and the complexity of legacy systems continue to be the main barriers to accelerating the adoption of cloud-native architectures.
In parallel, the report highlights that cybersecurity has become a differentiating element. 96% of organizations have consolidated advanced cloud cybersecurity capabilities, evolving from models focused on perimeter protection to resilience strategies that prioritize detection, response and recovery from incidents.
Azure and AWS lead cloud proposals
The report also confirms the consolidation of the cloud provider market in Spain. Microsoft Azure maintains its leadership position with a penetration of more than 80% of the business fabric, while AWS obtains the best ratings in overall satisfaction and consultative capabilities, with more than 94% of its customers positively evaluating their experience.
For its part, Google Cloud continues to strengthen its positioning thanks to its capabilities in artificial intelligence, advanced analytics and data services, while Oracle Cloud Infrastructure gains prominence in projects associated with critical workloads and specialized business environments.
The flexibility of the platforms, value for money and consultative support continue to be the main selection criteria for organizations. However, economic conditions continue to be the worst valued aspect across the board, which shows the growing importance of FinOps strategies and the optimization of cloud spending.
