The second edition of HP’s Work Relationship Index highlights a significant increase in the adoption of Artificial Intelligence (AI) among knowledge professionals in Spain. This year, 59% of these workers use AI in their daily activities, a notable increase compared to the 34% recorded the previous year. The study, based on a survey of more than 15,600 people in 12 countries, highlights the growing impact of AI in the workplace, and how it is helping to transform work dynamics while creating new opportunities to enjoy work more.

Of those surveyed, 68% say that AI has allowed them to discover more satisfying ways of working. Younger generations are leading this trend, with 77% of Generation Z and 65% of millennials reporting benefits, although older generations are also taking advantage of this technology: 51% of Generation X and 43% of Boomers they affirm it. Artificial Intelligence is emerging as a key tool to improve both satisfaction and productivity at work.

“The results of the new Labor Relations Index clearly demonstrate that the integration of this technology in the work environment not only increases productivity, but also improves the experience and satisfaction of workers. Instead of representing a threat, AI allows employees to take advantage of its great benefits, with an increasingly personalized and individual-centered approach,” said Inés Bermejo, general director of HP Iberia. “This advance, in addition to transforming how we work, promotes a more efficient and rewarding work environment for everyone.”

AI opens new opportunities

Additionally, the study highlights that 69% of Artificial Intelligence users believe that having greater mastery of this technology will be crucial to advance in their careers. As its adoption expands, the benefits become more visible:

  • Professional development: 69% consider that Artificial Intelligence technology will facilitate their professional growth.
  • Work-life balance: 51% of users who already use it are experiencing improvements in the reconciliation of both areas.
  • Employment relationship: 69% say that it opens up new opportunities for them to enjoy their work.
  • Productivity: 68% of respondents say that this technology simplifies their work, and almost 70% personalize it to be more productive.

Artificial Intelligence not only facilitates the personalization of the work experience, but is also helping to improve job satisfaction. In fact, professionals who use it report a job satisfaction rate that is 11 points higher than those who do not use it.

However, the study also points out areas for improvement. 31% of workers in Spain who use AI indicate that their companies do not offer adequate training in this technology, which highlights the need for more extensive implementation in work environments. Although fear of Artificial Intelligence is decreasing, 44% of workers who do not use it still fear that their jobs could be replaced, which represents an increase of 3% compared to last year.
